I have been searching for the same thing! A Christian Jamband. And let me tell you the search is over. The band's name is Waterdeep. You can check them out at www.waterdeep.com and you can download some of their live shows at: http://www.archive.org/audio/etreelisting-browse.php?collection=etree&cat=Waterdeep Unfortunatly though they are no longer touring and their last show is April 30th and May 1st of 2004 in Kansas City. If any of you live near there I would strongly suggest go seeing them. Through their website you can also buy some of their live stuff and their studio stuff is awesome too. I hope this band blesses you all as they've blessed me greatly! I used to be heavy into Phish and other jam bands and into drugs. But through the blood of Jesus I am a new being. And my old desires are no more. Although I still long for some "good" music and thats when God showed me Waterdeep.

For anyone in the Nashville area, we will be playing at Rocket Town Cafe, on the 30th of July, and anyone in the Alabama area, we will be at the big underground concert, in Birmingham, on the 31st. Hope you can make it.

I am a huge fan of widespread panic and other Jam bands. God has transformed me....I have opened up to many new types of music. Jason Upton is one of my favorites. He lets the spirit flow and does a lot of improvisonal stuff....but i still need some more good stuff. dont know much about the web posting stuff yet just need good advice from christians

Welcome J I love Upton's stuff, he's excellent. If you are looking for great praise and worship stuff you can't go wrong with the passion www.passion.org or www.worshiptogether.com artists. Check out the A.W.E cd, one of my favorites, I think you can get it at amazon. What other types do you look for?

Preciate it,
God has completly changed the way I think. So things are different now. Im sold out for Jesus now and there is no party id rather be at. I just like good ole boy song writing and an acoustic guitar. I also a big Dave matthews fan.

Example, "friggin" going back to the swearing, cussing, cursing thread. Which of those is this? Is it sinful? You know what you'd have said instead before you were saved/got on fire. Does the word used change anything?
Not an attack. Just posted to that thread and came to this one. Immediately see a prime example of my very first query. I don't see "intent" for it to be anything but what it is. In my post in the other thread, I also used "rationalize."
At the very least, I don't think it appropriate to a site like this.

Tho I do realize people come here from a lot of backgrounds I kind have to agree Kris J, if you like DMB, check out the Mercy Me and Lighthouse stuff, similar styles and as good or better professionally, but with much better messages

"friggin" Doesn't that just mean freaking?? Like, "I'm freaking out!" I've never thought of it as anything else!! That seems pretty innocent!! What do I know!! Wasn't raised christian so I'm pretty clueless as to what is acceptable with other christians.
