oooo... pretty!

Sending up a big fat praise and Thank You for God's grace regarding Ashley. She was less than two weeks away from turning 18 and being out of the group home when she was accepted into a state run independent living program. She now lives in a two-family house that serves 8 young women. She is able to come and go and work and go to school. The state gives them each a stipend and takes care of their living expenses. They are responsible to supply their own groceries with the money they receive. They are given a bus pass and the state even helps them find employment. Ashley called today telling me how happy she is and I'm very excited for her. She's a lot further away from me now, so our visits will be less frequent, but I think that will also give her the opportunity to become a little more self reliant. Please pray that she remains committed to seeing this program through.

Thank you Lord for your grace and mercy even though we don't deserve it. \0/

That was good news embie

Some of you know I was in a pretty bad auto accident Sunday (eejit ran a red light and t-boned my SUV, flipping it).

I am thankful no-one else was in the vehicle and that my injuries weren't much more severe. I'll go to see the doc later this week for followup, but thank God for no broken bones or worse. \0/

Wooo God is good!

Yes He is... I'm in physical therapy 3x/week for neck, shoulder and lower back injuries. Somethings feel better, others not so much. I believe we're gonna get an MRI done in the next week to check it more closely.

Good news!

Compassion Hospice is now fully accredited! After 2 1/2 long years we finally rec'd our accreditation in the mail Tuesday. We should be receiving our Medicare Provider # sometime in the next month and can begin billing...

We are truly blessed with our kids... they are lots of work and nearly as stubborn as I am, but... \o/

Elise took her first few steps today - they were all with the right foot so she walked in a small circle, tomorrow we'll try adding the other foot

Hey - I've had my house since 1992 - it's an older home bought in a historic district.

This weekend the Ayres will *finally* have in-door plumbing for the first time! We had a water heater and clothes dryer on the back porch since '92 - we replaced the water heater last year with a tankless heater mounted to the side of the house. This weekend we're replacing our 20 or more years old washer and dryer with a couple of current model front loaders we can stack.
