I've run from 2 hurricanes - something I don't plan to do again either

Bucket list:
- ski the French Alps
- ride the Chunnel
- ride highway 1 in a convertible
- live in a foreign country for 3+ months

My bucket list involved doing things with my children that I've gotten to do. It's amazing to see the wonderment in their eyes when they get to experience something new.

Can we plan a date like New Year's Eve 2009 to meet somewhere so we can finally meet each other? By then the new babies will be born and it will give us all a chance to plan (and save) for the trip.

I'm going to realize one of the things on my list. I'm attending a conference that takes me to the west coast and I'll be traveling the Pacific Coast Highway. I'm so excited! I've got my plans set for the first leg of the trip (the conference) now I am looking to plan my route. Because I don't have oodles of time I have to be selective of the points of interest I want to visit. The planning has been half the fun!

Be sure and check out Hearst Castle - beautiful. And Carmel, and the scenery all along the way... I'm :jealous: and :happy: for you, sounds like a lot of fun.

Rent a convertible, you have to. We drove a Mini Cooper convertible while there, but a Mustang is cool too, or one of the new Camaro's or just any convertible. It's a rule.
