Ashley ran away yesterday. It has been below 0 overnight. Please pray that wherever she is she's safe and warm, and that she'll come to her senses.

I just got off the phone with the staff where she lives. DCF found her and brought her back at 2:30 this morning. I don't know what will happen next. This is a pattern with her (and the majority of the girls at the house). The problem is when things don't go their way, they threaten to harm themselves and there is no taking time to evaluate the threat. As soon as it's spoken, even in jest, by law the staff must call the ambulance to come take them to the hospital for observation. Then when they are released to go "home", they usually run away. So very sad that they have been through so much that they have become masters at manipulation. And their reasoning is so distorted.

Please continue to pray for her. Her latest "idea" is that she wants to get pregnant. That's where she was... *sigh*

Where is she at? DCF? Sorry if I'm slow on the uptake.

Hey Mousey. Ashley lives in a group home in our state. DCF is our state department of children and families. She is a ward of the state right now and doesn't have access to her birth family. Ashley is a teen that I am mentoring. Sadly, when it comes to me, she won't call when she is about to do something that's against their rules because I will try to discourage her.

The police found her at the train station. She was trying to get on the train to get back to her home state. She caused a problem the next day and was arrested. Now she has to go to court in Feb. I will be seeing her over the weekend, but she is on "one-on-one" which means she is never alone. There is always a staff member with her 24/7.

Please pray that God will open her eyes and heal her wounded heart and give her peace. Jesus is the only One who can get through I believe.

She's 17. She won't be 18 until October, so until then she will either remain a ward of the state, follow their rules and receive benefits or if she runs away enough she will be put out of the house with no benefits and no place to live.

I saw her Sunday night and she "promised" to call me before she acts up again. We'll see... \0/

I was supposed to take her to church last night and then see her Tuesday for dinner, but I didn't get out of work until almost 8:30 last night due to EOM, and Tuesday we're getting warnings of a pretty good snow storm. So it might not be until next weekend that I see her again.

Ashley received her 30 day eviction notice. If she doesn't agree to attend a one on one life skills program she will be out of the house and on her own. I will be seeing her this weekend. Please pray that God softens her heart and opens her eyes...

Yes, she's actually agreed to intensive out patient therapy which will begin on Thursday. If you could please keep her in prayer then it would be great. God is always Good! \0/
