Appropriate for the 4th:

"Good morning. In less than an hour, aircraft from here will join others from around the world. And you will be launching the largest aerial battle in the history of mankind. "Mankind." That word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps it's fate that today is the Fourth of July, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom... Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution... but from annihilation. We are fighting for our right to live. To exist. And should we win the day, the Fourth of July will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day the world declared in one voice: "We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight!" We're going to live on! We're going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day!"

- President Thomas Whitmore "Indepence Day"

Hi Guys....Long time hiatus. Sorry.

I have a confession to make.

I have seen "No Reservations" FOUR times since it opened. I have never been to the movies to see the SAME movie....repeatedly...like this one. But, I absolutely loved it.

Here is one of my favorite quotes:
I wish there were a cookbook for life.
—Kate (Catherine Zeta-Jones)

-Saphy

For God so loved the World...that He gave and gave and gave...

ok... i like a bunch, but the one coming to mind these days is from the Princess Bride:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Miracle Max: He probably owes you money huh? I'll ask him.
Inigo Montoya: He's dead. He can't talk.
Miracle Max: Whoo-hoo-hoo, look who knows so much. It just so happens that your friend here is only MOSTLY dead. There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Mostly dead is slightly alive. With all dead, well, with all dead there's usually only one thing you can do.
Inigo Montoya: What's that?
Miracle Max: Go through his clothes and look for loose change.

i also am quite fond of Dory's incredibly optimistic attitude in Finding Nemo...

Marlin: The water's going down. It's-it's-it's going down!
Dory: Hmm. Are you sure about that?
Marlin: Look! Already it's half-empty.
Dory: Hmm... I'd say it's half-full.
Marlin: Stop that! It's half-empty!

and her philosophy on letting your kids spread their wings...

Marlin: I promised I'd never let anything happen to him.
Dory: Hmm. That's a funny thing to promise.
Marlin: What?
Dory: Well you can't never let anything happen to him. Then nothing would ever happen to him. Not much fun for little Harpo

I almost cried I luaghed so hard when Michael Caine uttered those words!!!

Bonnie Hunt yelling at Jim Belushi Grace has Bob's dead wife's heart.

Return to Me...

I just LOVE that movie. laugh

I wonder how many times Bonnie Hunt had to say that line to get it right. I can't even read it right... LOL!

That movie Tropic Thunder was one of the funniest films I've seen in a while.
