Well guys (and ladies) I decided that after 8 months of staying the same weight to go back on a lovely regiment of diet and exercise and get back to my post-boot camp weight. I started last week (sometime in the middle) at around 230 and now I'm down to 220. I'm keeping this up until I hit 185. Shouldn't be too hard. I did it before (albeit, with a lot of people pushing me). But now I know what to do so I'm heading for it.

After I drop everything, I'm taking courses in a martial arts course so I can finally get into some sort of fighting program. I really miss just scrapping with people, and what better way to do it than in a ring?

Congrats Mouse That's a lot of hard work, but you've already proven you can do it. Join a tae kwon do program, it'll help with the weight loss and make it a bit more fun.

Alright so a fast update on all of this.

So far I've lost 21 pounds. I'm down to 207 from 228.

Pretty much I've been biking every day for 2-5 hours a day. Unfortunately, today, it finally took a toll on my back and I have to take a day off.

However, 21 pounds is still 21 pounds so I'm happy.

you are kickin some booty man! i envy the self control. i used to think i was the sha-dizzle working out all week, but now that AGE has settled in, so has laziness. you are doing fantastic! its really bigger than most people can imagine ! rock on!

I need to lose fifty to be really fit again. 25 would be for healthy, 50 for fit. i cant ever KEEP it off. Even exercise and strength training for 6 months 4- days a week managed only about 7 lbs. Very frustrating.waaahhhhhh.....

Calories in is the usual culprit, I can always eat more in a day than I can burn in a week

It's been a long time since I've really been hungry - back when I used to compete I'd look for the hunger pains, it let me know I was making progress. I hated the low-carb part of the diet tho - I alternated 2 high-carb days with 5 low-carb days, I could gain 10 lbs over the weekend from all the fluid coming in and being held by the carbs and lose 11 lbs by Tuesday. That was 10 years ago tho... now I need to lose 25 myself. I understand what you guys are going through - the ends do justify the misery

I'm down to around 196 right now, but unfortunately, I might be having surgery soon so I won't be able to bike much anymore; not until Spring at the very least.

I've lost 45 pounds total. I'm down to 185. Here's a picture (let's see if this works)

My brother and I got the same tattoo before I left for overseas when I was home on leave. If either of us died, we'd put the others name above it. It's our family crest.

The Fluer de Lei. It's the symbol for Saved from Death. Back when the death penalty was running rampant in France and the Franco countries, if you were found innocent of your crimes after you were sentenced to death, they branded you with the symbol to let everyone know you were saved from death.

Here's a bit of an update. I'm back up to 190, but I'm a lot lower on the body fat percentage scale. Still have some ways to go though.
