He's someone I thought was intelligent, knowledgeable and fair. I had so much respect for him. And I thought he was a nice, regular guy. I was shocked to hear his story. this election will not be the same without him covering it.

russert was the real deal. a god man and a great jounalist analyst moderator. Hus interviews were spot on and he never dodged the issue with anyone. He will be missed.

I can't remember the last time I cried over someone in the media. It's silly, but I almost feel like I knew him personally as he was part of my daily routine. And he just loved his family so much.
