Please pray for my friend Mike. He lives in Georgia. We met on-line through my former church. He is a grandpa and has traveled all over on mission with his church. We share prayer requests and pray for each other and for people all over the world as the need arises. Like here, we build relationships with people and we can "chat" on almost a daily basis. We come to know many things about each other and share in ups and downs and cheers and tears. But what happens when something happens? Would my children think to let anyone know at Praise Cafe if something happened to me? Would Nabster's wife know or Angel's husband? We are names in the universe...

The last e-mail I got from Mike was a few days ago when he sent me that clip on Laminin. He told me then that he was having chest pains the night before and couldn't sleep. (Mike had a quad-bypass a few years ago). He ended the e-mail with... "so I finally decided that if I die, I die and then I was able to get to sleep". I haven't heard from him since and not for lack of trying on my part...

So please pray for Mike. That maybe he's traveling or his computer is broken... And that God's got His healing hand on him.

...and now I'm writing down phone numbers and websites for my children... just in case...

Oh I haven't heard from the ol' butcher in over 2 years. I sent him an email a few months back and never got a reply. I've always wondered what became of that guy.

Thank you all for praying. False alarm \0/ Mike is fine. He was away and wasn't able to write.

He said he's going to put me in his will so that someday I'll get the message he's rode on into the sunset.

Not going to lie, this has got me thinking. I think I'll draw up something tomorrow that in case I die, have someone leave a message here and to all of the people I play Halo with.
