Oiy. I did that last night. We stopped off at some new place called the barking dog or something like that. It's actually owned by some folks that Billy went to school with. Anyway, I felt obligated to buy something, so I just got a coffee. It was 10pm when I finished it. I will NEVER make that mistake again. Whoo. My heart was racing at 1am while I was laying there trying to sleep. That was sssssome sssstronng ccccofffeeee.

I can be really emotionally strong when necessary. But when something random occurs, like an old song on the radio, a familiar smell or a sentimental story that brings me to tears, I find myself crying over all the things that have happened to me since my last good cry...

I guess I save them up...

ugh, isnt that just the worst. i cry at the most pitiful times, and i am not typically a cryer. but lately, at family night we had when we went to the beach, we were just taking turns talking about stuff and i got all mushy when my kiddos would answer best they could (what a sap) and i cried when i heard the song while watching beauty and the beast (the one when they are dancing .. ya know .. tale as old as time ...) i cant predict when i am going to turn the water on. us girls are just plain wired wrong. its really unfair. but it helps me understand my daughter better. my tacky brother in law (well one of his tackier moments) my daughter had gotten upset cause she didnt understand some intercessory prayers we were praying and cried, he said later that if his girl was "emotional like that, i'd just tell her to get over it and stop it" i laughed at him and said that he could go ahead and try that and when he does, to let me know how it worked out for him.

I will let you know how it works out. I am presently on a mission to wreck my new daughter

i cant stand when people are rude in church. okay, so we are catholic, no surprises. we went to get my niece baptised. we were in the front row, which in this church was a mini row, ya know, the kneeler doesnt go to the end. anyway. so my brow in law's brother went outside to make a phone call b4 church and some old dude walked past him and literally SAID "you shouldnt play with those things at church" .. what ? then these two ladies come and sit in our half pew and i politely leaned over and said " we have a baptism and this is reserved for family and kids that wiggle do better in a full pew, can you please sit at the other pew to the left?" which was on the front and she said RUDE as all get out "this is the lector, she gets to sit in the front" .. did i stutter ????? there was a front PEW .... and they sat their booties down anyway. i was like ... "LORD Jesus, please control my toungue now, beacuse i cant" and then i looked back and my bro in laws brother with a look like "what???" and he shrugged. i mean, come ON people ....

i guess what it is is that GOD wants us to elicit self control even when it's in church.

Someone please gimme a prayer i can tack up to my mirror in my bathroom to say each day to remember to SHUT MY TRAP when i seriously think it's time to let it out .... man, "the way i am" ... i DO NOT HAVE any tolerance for rudeness or disrespect or lack of lack of common sense ?

Last night at that grad party my gf was moaning about the fact that she had to go to a grad party today, and then she got on the "well, they showed up two hours late of our party so I'm gonna do the same to them...blah blah blah" And we were in a very mixed crowd, more unbelievers than believers, so me, being the "closed mouth" person that I am just had to say... "Yes, Pam, because that is the Christian response..." To which everyone started laughing and it broke the tension and she was able to get her Christian perspective back. (I've yet to call her to see what time she actually went today...LOL! )

When I'm exasperated by a situation, if I can't cry it out, I just give it over and say..."satan's knocking at the door, Jesus, can You get that?"

true, i have lots of work to do. bad day. my mom is pulling the same stuff she did back in 2002 (see post i made back then) and so we are dealing with pain from the past and new pain. it just doesnt change. but i gotta hand it over, i cant fix this one and i cant cry forever
