He may not become the AI, but I get to look at him for one more week... (...and he was safe right out of the gate mind you... )

one mormon down and 1 to go... I knew there must have been some sort of anti-Mormon plot. Brooke's problem is that she doesn't know who she is as a performer. She can't dance or move without looking extremely awkward. She should strive for the singer/songwriter vibe at all times going forward and always be seated at a piano or on a stool with her guitar. Poor thing, and little Archuleta hiding behind the others so they couldn't see his disappointment at losing his fellow Mormon.

hehe, he had to know it was her week. She's been slipping steadily for several weeks. I agree with you on her assessment, she really needs training on being comfortable in front of people - I bet the coming tour after the contest is over will do a lot for that. She and David A may be greatly matured in a year.

I think this.
IN order for any of the top five other than Archuleta (brooke, Syesha, David C., Jason) to have a successful career, they shouldn't win. If they win, they'll be tied into that stupid production company that wants to pump out crap. Kelly Clarkson has been a much better artist since she "Broke away" from 19 entertainment.
David C would be ruined under their creative control, as would Jason.
Jason, is a great performer and if he sings songs he's comfortable with and original compositions to avoid comparisons to Marley and Dillon, then he'll be just fine, but 19 entertainment wouldn't have known what to do with him.
Brooke, wouldn't work with 19 either because they want pop-singing songstresses and she isn't that
Syesha could work with 19, but I think she'll head to broadway after this anyway.
David Archuleta. . . I don't think he would be successful without winning. I think if he wins, he is the type of artist that 19 entertainment wants to market and knows how to market. If he doesn't win, he's just a little too boring to go out on his own and make it.
He is singing the national anthem at the Jazz game on Friday during his hometown visit, maybe he'll bring the Jazz some of the same luck he's had

Our whole town is a buzz because David Archuleta is here today for his hometown visit.
some of the local news channels have minute by minute updates of his whereabouts and activities on their websites.

I saw another guy named Archuletta in the last few days - I think it's Italian, si?
Just now watching Tuesday night's performances - first song: David C was good, Jason did better than I expected, Syesha was good, her dancing was very "broadway", David A, nice job.
None of the 4 were "top 4" performances. Seems a step or 2 below the last few years.

*sigh* Oh the pain... Jason is no more... I felt so sorry for him that even though he wasn't so great and forgot some infamous words to a classic song, I voted for him anyway... You have to admit he was a good sport. He even told people that they were joking with him saying that "I shot the Tamberine man". Pretty funny... The rest were good, but I thought Syesha did kinda screech during Proud Mary.

I think Joel's right about David A and his music career with Idol. I think he has a great voice, but I don't see him making a splash on his own.
That being said, I almost hope David C doesn't win. I think he'd do better making his own choices going forward. I'm sure he already has people after him to sign contracts.
I think just by popularity Syesha will go home this week.

David C is the only natural choice by default. Even he will have a difficult time getting off of start - it's a crowded field of guys with his type voice. This year's finalists are a huge disappointment after such a promising start. I bet Michael Johns does better than the rest combined - he's unique.

David A really seems like he's led a pretty sheltered life, I imagine it's something he's used to.
