NO dear, that's called "base color" teehee ..

Gray hair is hard to color because it has lost all its pigmant. Sometimes it will take it but it will but not last very long, because its usually very coarse and will not penetrate the hairs cortex.

Having been a hairbender in previous years, about grey hair coloring. Grey hair is essentially dead hair. As it ages and loses color it also closes it's cortex. that is why it seems to be thinner. If before applying color you use bleach or peroxide to soften the hair which liftes the cuticle so color can be deposited into the hair instead of just coating it. If you add conditioner to the color or even permanent solution if getting a permanent your hair will turn out in better condition than before treating it. Grey hais is a loss of pigment. When hair loses it so does skin. If ladies go dark to cover grey they need to compensate with makeup or the face will be framed and you will look older and harsh NOT younger. Frosting the hair is a good alternative to dark color. Having a lighter color softens the entire appearance. Being a two step process the grey gets softened along with darker hair being lightened. Then the color is better accepted.

Hey Al why color...believe me when I say we women like the grey...it's very appealing...sex appeal it's called but of course we're mature women not teenie boopers...so I guess it depends on who you're trying to impress ...age wise etc.. oops I forgot who this was..never mind <grins>

Being yourself hair color and all makes a person sexy. Confidence is something women look for in men. I'd rather see a man with grey hair than that "you know I dyed my hair look." Besides if your doing those things to impress someone is it worth not being your true self. Besides when that all grows out, its a pain, I should know I have dark blonde newgrowth to auburn ends. Next time I'm just staying in the blonde family color, maybe highlights. I keep trying to make it darker and it will not stay.

Cuz blue goes with everything. He he. BTW If there is such a thing as a normal place for a part, standing in front of a mirror, look at yourself and line your comb up with the pupil of your eye. Now, pull everything from the outside of the comb sideways. If you prefer thsn direct that hair back. Obviously the rest of the hair goes in the oposite direction accross the top or your head and down the other side.

Of course, this is where normal comes in, if there is a recess that's where the part shoule go pretty hard to start a part where there's not hair. lol. Personally I like people with a natural look. Grey is great in my book and I think it's particularly cool on men and women who obviously are young and it's premature. My mother was 75% grey (actually white) by the time she graduated high school. She never got older to me since it's the way I always knew her. Then after becoming a grandmother, she miraculously also became blonde.

Parts in the hair are for old guys....I just take a small amount of gel (about the size of a dime) and runs my hands through my hair in all different directions. Gives it that wild, I don't care what people think about cause I like it anyway type look.
