Updated the forum to ubb.threads 7.2 (beta 4).

There's quite a few changes, tho most you won't notice - some changes in the base code were written to look like the modifications I had been writing each time and some are just behind the scenes.

There are a few that will become quite obvious to you tho. I'll begin turning them on over the next couple days, tonight I am sleepy and should be in bed. One thing you can see right now is that we now have the old ability to see what topic people are reading when viewing the 'who's online' screen. Those of you old-timers remember when we had that as a code hack back in the old free-wheelin days of ubb.classic

Anyways, poke around, this is beta code and we might see some dust bunnies still needing cleaning. If you notice, let me know so we can get'em cleaned out.

Updating to beta 5, should be the last beta then we can get back to playing again

Oh, and I made a couple forums we're familiar with 'teaser' forums - you can see the forum now, but not actually enter it if you don't have permissions

I'm going to work to hide the topic title and poster soon, like we had in the old forum

I wanted to release a list of the actual new features since I updated today to the final release version:

   These can be accessed via the Full Reply screen. "S" with the Diagonal line. What are spoiler tags for?
   There are many reasons.
   • A Review and you don't want to spoil the ending.
   • A joke with a funny ending.
   • Or the answer to a question.
2. [color:#369]Mark a Forum as Read [/color]
   The New Post Icon next to a forum can now be double-clicked to mark an individual and sub forums to be marked as ALL Read.
3. [color:#369]Who's On-line More Details [/color]
   screen to show the actual topic a user is looking at
4. [color:#369]Quick Full Reply [/color]
   A New Button under the quick reply box "Switch to Full Reply"
   This will keep your text in the quick reply and place it
   into the full reply for you. Where you can access all the Active panel controls.
5. [color:#369]Leaving a Private Message Notice [/color]
   When a someone removes themselves from a private message / topic a note will be added to the topic to let other participants know.
6. [color:#369]Images with Descriptions [/color]
   When using the File / Image Manager you can now add a description {caption}
   to appear underneath your picture. Available with the uploader only.
7. [color:#369]Moods have Moved [/color]
   Changed the online /off line indicator next to users name,
   you can hover over it to see text of that mood.
8. [color:#369]Who is in a Private Message [/color]
   it will now show all participants in each private message.
9. [color:#369]E-mail with Forum Name as Type And Subject [/color]
   When you receive an e-mail from our forums, it will also contain
   the Forum and the Topic Title in the Subject line.
10. [color:#369]Private Message E-mails [/color]
    Are now sent with full content to your e-mail address.
11. [color:#369]Private Message Limit Bar [/color]
    You can now see in a progress bar in "My Messages" how many private message you can receive "Total"
12. [color:#369]Happy Birthday [/color]
    Automatic Birthday Wished to members on their Birthday.
13. [color:#369]Attachment Limits [/color]
    Members now have an Attachment limit total visible when using
    the file / image manager to assist them. This will inform you
    how many images you can upload.
14. [color:#369]New Active Posts [/color]
    Now you can view the Last Active Posts or Active Topics
15. [color:#369]New Gallery Forums [/color]
    These behave like a Gallery and are different from a Posting Forum.
    The Gallery forums have a unique Forum Icon looking like a camera.
16. [color:#369]Gallery Pictures in a side Island. [/color]
    The latest Gallery Images can now be viewed in side islands.
17. [color:#369]User Information On the Top Or Side of a post view? [/color]
    By visiting "My Preferences" you can now choose to view user details on the top of a post or at the side where it is now.

18. [color:#369]View all Topics Started by a member. [/color]
    By visiting "A Member's Profile" select "Show User's Posts" and then select Topics Created or All Posts

updated software tonight to fix a number of bugs, it's still beta, so let me know if you run into a problem

I turned off the 'teaser forum' feature until it's a little more private, like our old forum was. I've been assured it is with the next version of the software coming in a few months.

The gallery is finally fixed - you can upload photos and post comments now

Upgrading either now, or a bit later this weekend - watch out for falling bricks and mortar

We're going to be moving to a new server in the next week or so - I've just can't take the speed/performance issues we've been having for what seems like forever. You shouldn't notice anything different except for a MUCH faster experience here.
