Brooke has been very modest thus far. Additionally, Brooke doesn't strike me as someone who you could market with sex appeal. It just wouldn't fit.

The biggest issue would be, should Archuleta win, whether or not he decides to serve a mission, when he turns nineteen. Donny Osmond famously believed that he could do more good for the church by not serving a mission, and rather remaining famous, too bad he didn't remain famous - and "Soldier of Love" did no favors for his image as a Mormon.

Jason was ok, better than the judges said, I think, but ok.

i am not sold on anyone this year. i wouldnt buy an album from any one of them. i will watch it though, it's the only thing i am watching from the start .. .and yeah, i am with you mel, i started watching the bleamin' bachelor too. such an addiction and so hard to keep up with.

DAvid not archuleta is quite the performer. But the judges have been fooled by him.

He's not doing original material. He's doing lesser known artists versions/arrangements of famous songs. Then he gets all this credit for being so original.

Not that his performance wasn't stellar, it was, just not that original.

Michael Johns is probably my favorite non-Mormon. "We are the Champions" was the best of the night.

Archuleta sings too many shiny happy people songs. Maybe it's because Mormons are so shiny.

Brooke is still fantastic, the only criticism she recieved was on the arrangement. I believe Simon said she was fantastic.

Yeah. Something about Brooke i really like. WHolesome and pretty and RASPY. That is it. I like the raspyness of her singing and she is just unique.
Where David C gets credit is finding the right song and arrangement that are uniquely him. Copy or not. He picks songs that showcase his style very well. In the world of records, very little arrangement will be done by the artist anyway. The producer will tell how to hit the notes when to hit them and when to lay off.
DAvid A - in last few weeks has shown he is not flawless. Probably the best overall voice, but a weak performer and his youth shows. I still like him, and the chicks love him. His song choice was awful.

I actaully voted last nite _for 09....kristy lee. I can not believe it. It was a mistake. I wanted to vote for David - 10.
Unbelievable. She was okay, but needs to go home along with Ramiel.
Michael was in fact fabulous. He is a star. I loved the INXS band as well as some of the singers he emulates, so I can say with good songs I would buy his record.

Archuletta sang sad songs several weeks in a row, the judges asked him to brighten up since he was getting in some sort of rut with them. I thought he did well last night, but no, I wouldn't buy his cd.

The last 2 weeks Brooke has had bad performances, she needs to do something different - not sure who's choosing the music or making the arrangements but she did a lot better prior to last week.

David C - no matter where he gets his arrangements from, he has outperformed everyone else the last 2-3 weeks now. Not saying he's the most talented, but he's outperformed them.

Michael - very good last night.

Chikese - so so last night, I LOVED his performance a couple weeks ago (the song that started kinda "O Brother Where Art Tho?"), but he's slipped back into old and kinda boring. Great voice but he doesn't inspire right now.

Carly - kinda Melinda Doolittle'ish right now - everyone expects perfection and when it doesn't blow us away it's just ok. The song was perfect for her but she had a not-so-good night.

Jason - really out of his league - nice guy, good voice, but just ok.

Kristy - decent country singer, cute, but treading water until she gets the axe. Not in the same league as the recent AI singers who went on to country music success (Carrie and Kelli)

Ramiele - great voice, but last night was an off night - same with Syesha, both had bad pitch problems just about throughout thier songs.

Combining bottom 3 results from last week and performances from this week - bottom 3 will be:

Carly - didn't have the best week, even tho she's the most talented female. For some reason she was bottom 3 last week.

Kristy - just ok, could be replaced by chikese tho

Well... I nearly missed it completely, I still think ramiele should have been sent packing, but chikese didn't pick a very good song and was boring. Chikese is good tho... I'm going to miss him.

yeah. I would not have guessed Chikezie. I would have guessed Ramiel. Mybe even Jason. he is awful. just awful.
Weak vocally, and cant sing big. Wont sell records and has no personality.

Quite frankly , looks like a hipppie stoner all the time. And the judges were right NO ENERGY at all. SOooo subdued. OR is it sub DUDE!

- Good, not great voice
- Pleasant personality
- In way over his head
- Unusual hair
- Loved by the pre-teen girls

I don't think so. He may not have what it takes to be the American Idol, but I don't believe he is a drug user. He's a Christian and scored 1300 on his SAT's. He's on the Honor roll at Texas A & M and is a member of the Aggies Men's Club.

I think he's gentle and humble.

Brooke White = Wonderbread LIte innocence. Neither one of em could open a bottle of wine...which is good. I love the purity they represent cuz it is real.

Jason, on the other hand- perception is reality, and whether he was or wasnt -sure seemed "altered". I think Simon was on to something, with the "take it serious comment"...it was code for quit smokin the Ganja and come in prepared.
