That all depends on whether or not we perceive you to be a good judge of character.

We do.
You guys are sterotyping the kid because he has dreds; they work 18-20 hours a day - just when is he supposed to be smoking weed? Right before going on stage in front of 30 million people?
The story is he's just a kid, in over his head, some, but not a lot of talent.
You are also stereotyping David A and Brooke because they look clean cut - it's been my experience, more than just a little, that the clean cut kids (from preachers kids on down) are a WHOLE lot different when not in public. So what if you haven't seen an R-rated movie - that's something that's relatively easy to avoid. What choices did you make when you and one other person were in private?
Character is more than just using soap.

YEAH...I AM A DOPE. YOU PERCEIVE CORRECTLY. Archuletta may be high on life Joel, but he too is in over his head. For the first time I dont think he can win. The other kid Jason, other than the way he looks, really is quite wholesome as well. It is strange to see his innocence with his look, it confuses...\I agree Allen, in that he WAY over his head in the competition.

i like jason. i know lots of kids that are "like" him. he is more hippie-like. that doesnt mean he does dope. where on earth does having dred locks and singing low key and being a mello type personality = drugs. if that's the case, then we all need to do more of what he does to be more like he is .. a big "whatever" on those comments yall . .come on ...
i hope david cook wins.

David C - nice job
Ramiele - pretty good, what's with the constant bounce? Dress was a little short - front row got a little more than a musical for the price of their ticket.
Gonna be hard to make a Dolly Parton songfest relevant to today's music/audience. Not sure why they choose mentors like this... DP is a legend, but the songs just don't translate very well.

Dolly Parton? are you kiddin me? how about somebody cintemporary for a change. how about Richard Marx (he has written tons of hits most people dont even know about) How about Hall and Oates- the eagles, DOn Henley, Fleetwood Mac. There are so many to choose from. So who is gonna get the boot gang...

Jason - better than last week, he even seemed a little more comfortable up there.
Carly - got a way from the original version - sounded much better than the original and much better than last week. She should be safe this week.

David A - very nice, in good voice tonight and he seems to be maturing on-stage as a performer (not as much "gosh-shucks"). Kristy - should be in her element this week, we'll see. - She's a country singer, for sure. Is she barefoot? Nice dress, but I don't think she's wearing shoes. I guess that's country Good, not great. Simon says: "Pleasant but forgettable" - I tend to agree.

Syesha - singing a Dolly Parton-written/sang song, but one that Whitney Houston made popular. Also sang it in Whitney's arrangement/style. It's hard to sing a Whitney Houston song - I heard Whitney sing back in the late 80's and no-one sings close to her at her best.
Anyways, pretty good, but not great. You can tell when they're just ok when Paula goes on and on about how good they look.

Michael - great voice, tonight he did well. I may actually buy a CD of his if he gets to make one. Nice styling tonight, blues-y, reminds me of a blues-y CCR song.
OK - tonight - the best was, in my opinion was Michael, followed in 2nd-3rd best by David A and Carly. The worst was Ramiele, followed in second-worst by Syesha.
Ramiele, Syesha and Kristy bottom 3, Ramiele going home.

Unusual choice for the Clark Brothers to sing "Tell Him What You Want" - ?!?! Reminded me of church as a little kid, they're very talented musicians, but the song, tho it had a *great* message was kinda like singing a nursery rhyme.
