Hollywood week this week

I'm watching last night's show now since I was out of town, some real standouts so far:

Brook "I've never seen a rated R movie" White - on piano, carly simon-like, she's muy beuno on "Beautiful"

David Hernandez - "love the one you're with" - this guy, unless he forgets the words to a song is easily in the top 12. Very good


Amanda "Rock and Roll Nurse" - Janis Joplin voice, she's good at what she's done, but that style is ssoooo old. I'd be surprised if she goes any further.

Josiah "I live in my car" - played piano, sings with an english accent - very good, not sure how he'll do in group night tho.

Danny Noriega - nice strong voice

Ramiele - little philipino girl, huge voice

carly smithson - from ireland - very very good

michael "australian in san diego" jones - cool raspy voice

david cook, robbie carrico jessica brown, perrie cataldo, syesha, colton berry - all sang bryan adams - colton and robbie was the best, jessica very good but not liked for some reason.

Why does everyone have a green tongue?

LOTS of other forgettable performances and people who forgot the words. Not sure what's up with that kid running for governor

Cool change to the process this year - those not 'good enough' the first time around this week get a second chance on day 3.

I thought some were very good, but they were sent home

Only an hour into it... seems to be taking forever.

Big Jeffery Lampkin - lots of fun, did the judges like him?

Yes! Gets the Green Card!

The girl singing "Amazing Grace" gets through too \o/

Final Day - cutting 60 to 24 They get a band and 3 backup singers. Stayed up all night getting their song ready.

David Archuletta - another Bryan Adams song - this kid (16) can really sing - definitely top 12 guys material.

Kyle "the governator" - surprisingly sang well, gets through ??

Big Jeffery Lampkin - didn't sing well

Syesha Mercado - top 12 - she's good! Hoarse voice but still killed it.

Michael the aussie - another strong performance, he could go far, great raspy voice

Irish Carly - allergic to her dog (I can understand that) - wore a dust mask for the last month and her voice is mo betta - she could be top 12 girl easily.


Asia'h Epperson - strong performance

Brooke "Miss South Florida Fair" Helvie - sang "unchained melody" - most try and fail this song - great voice, but choked like most who try on this song. I can't believe Paula sent her home - most likely that little bit of attitude at the end hit Paula wrong.

Josiah - chose to sign a capella, no band. Not very good.

They let him through? ugh - he crys constantly, and this performance was terrible.

Finally the end - my faves so far - Brooke, Michael, Carly David and Ramiele

Taking bets on who goes home first

I did notice a good number of people made it through to the top 24 who have yet to actually sing on tv.

Who remembers Luke Menard (like that he likes "Take 6" tho), Jason Yeager or Amy Jean Davis?

Robbie Carrico is from Melbourne, FL where I used to live. I think I've seen him surfing before...

My fav's: Carly Smithson, David Archuleta, and Michael Johns.

carly is neat, i just heard some stuff they dug up on david archuletta, he isnt the innocent, unexperienced dewey-eyed baby he comes off as ... watch him, he's sneaky. is michael johns the one who sang Queen ??? there is another hispanic guy that is just all cute and sings well and a boy that looks like a male jessica alba, he sang proud mary at his audition who is very good. yeah, ill jump in and make some CHRISTIAN bets this year !

archuletta goes a long way. carly, from Ireland? is awesome.
Also like the black girl with the 'h at the end of her name. cant think of it.

yeah, i keep up with watching my "e!" and reading people. i say, if you are going out for american idol, be ready to have them dig up anything and everything on you. just part of the whole thing. i liked the very country guy who didnt make the cut, but thanked everyone cause now he wouldnt miss turkey season .. he was just like a slice of cake .. yum! (i didnt say that outloud) ... but i like a few of them. have to see what the weeks will hold ..just glad they have it on both tues and wed nights, it's something to do.

We haven't seen tonight's show yet, will try in a day or so... busy busy busy!

I never get them right. The ones I think aren't so great, the judges seem to love...

I liked most of the guys last night.

I think Randy and Paula need to be replaced next season. They are each other's mimic.

i like ramiele and carly. but i dont like the girls as much. i dont like the blondes at all. oh well, we will see. does anyone call and vote besides me ?

teehee. no, i just think they all kinda look alike. and i don't like ramiele's hair either. although i DO like brooke's hair. not that curly hair means you're BETTER or anything.

Asai'h is my girl. She is soooo good. I like the raspy thing. Very recognizable.

ALso like Australian boy...A lot like Michael Hutchens of INXS...i couldnt believe when Randy siad that. I was actually thinking the same thing..

Archuletta is getting on my nerves with his innocent laughing white boy thing... ANNOYING - no longer cute.
tonite I think the plus size model chick goes home. ANd Danny boy may go home too. However his Gayness will be admired by chicks so he may stick around a few weeks. Blahh.
