Now before you go clicking away and declaring me a hateful person who's posting this out of spite, look at the bottom of each question for the link that should be "Looking Unto Jesus" or "Waterrock". Both of these sites, and in several cases, other ones, give excellent responses to the majority of the questions. I figured since most Christians are pandered by countless people saying that the Bible is inaccurate, the answers to all of these questions would be useful to everyone.

If you did just click away and declare me a hate monger, then read above before mentioned paragraph.

The contradictions are flawed as most of the stuff is taken out of context.

That doesn't change the fact that I got a kick out the fact that they found 393 contradictions in the Bible and only 3 in the Book of Mormon.

Now that's funny.

I clicked on one (who was the zerubbabel the son of?) and it looks like it traces through different family lines as they really don't line up.

I wonder if OT Jews traced lineage through 'families/sons' and not just literally father -> son -> grandson -> great-grandson etc. I know if a male died their wife/widow was usually taken/taken care of by the male's brother, so you could be your own uncle/brother-in-law kinda easily. wink

Well, duh. Read the links as Mouse suggested and that's what they say:

http://p099.ezboard.com/fsabdiscussionboardcontradictions.showMessage?topicID=1590.topic

"Salathiel and Pedaiah were brothers. After Salathiel died, Pedaiah married his widow and the offspring of the union of Pedaiah and the widow of Salathiel was Zerubbabel. Zerubbabel was then regarded as the legal heir (i.e., son) of Salathiel, even though his genetic father was Pedaiah. All this was in sync with the custom of “levirate marriage” described in Deuteronomy 25:5-10."
