Melanie was released today, tho still quite sore. David weighed in at a hefty 4 lbs this morning We're headed back to the hospital to feed him in a few minutes

Isn't it ironic that at birth we look like little old people, squinty, wrinkley and no teeth and if we are fortunate enough to live a long life, we come full circle and look like that once again.

He's eating well this afternoon and evening after a little set back this morning, weighing in at 4lbs 1.4 oz early this morning. I told them tonight we're expecting good results in the morning. We're seeing daily changes in his face and wrinkles filling out.

I'll be taking Melanie to the hospital 5-6 times per day now to feed David, she'll need prayer for energy as she's still healing from the surgery. Thank you

The good thing about where we live is the hospital is 2 1/2 blocks from here and my work is only another 3-4 blocks from there. I probably won't be taking leave, but I should be able to work around what I need to do and still get her to the hospital. As well as David has done, I don't think he'll be in more than 2 more weeks, so if that works out our being 3 places at once should slow down by then. I work with some great people and things should be 'workable' until we can get David home

our youngest was 3 weeks in NICU and it is difficult. Hang in there.

Yeah, he gained a little more today, 4lbs 5.5oz It's so funny to watch him while he sleeps - he goes through the whole gamut of emotions in his face in less than 5-7 seconds - pout -> frown -> smile -> laugh I can narrate a story going on in his head for his mom

He's got a window seat now if you guys get to come on by
