My boss asked me out of the blue if I was given a raise after my last evaluation in May. I told him I did get one, but I didn't know how much it was. He said he wanted to check in to it and see if what I was making was adequate. He then submitted a request for a raise and it was approved. I was SO supprised. He did this all out of the blue.

When I was in Florida last time, the youth group at the church I went to were all wearing blue shirts that said "God is Blue." Summarizing the message that day was that we often say something came "out of the blue." But nothing escapes the knowledge and will of God, so when something unexpected comes out of the "blue", it's really from God, because God is the Blue...

I thought that was very cool and I'm so glad you said that, it made me remember that message. \0/

I'm posting from Newport RI. I am so thankful for this vacation. It may be our last real family vacation for some time. At first my son didn't even want to come and then we invited a guest and last minute he couldn't make it so it's just the three of us and it's been wonderful! Everyone's having a blast. Rachel is spending time with friends from nearby and Mike has fit in perfectly with them. We're going parasailing and whale watching and whatever else we can fit into these next four days.
