Sheesh, I was that old when you were born. And, yes, it's old. As we all know, nobody over thirty can be trusted. Least that's what they were saying when I was younger than that.

Sure do TH. In fact at the time I had quit my full time job to be a waiter part time. The dining establishment I worked for only paid one dollar an hour. For tips, all any of us claimed was $.25 per working hour. That brought our hourly wage up to minimum. I lived better on my tip money than my salary for 40+ hours a week at the other job. I think I was probably 22 maybe 23 then.

Well, the one we had on 9/10 and 9/11 didn't make a difference and still hasn't.

But I can see where NEW is coming from I mean atleast George Bush is trying to do something about terrorism, whenever I hear someone say they could do a better job I always think "I'd love to see that", I don't think people realize how hard it is to make the right decision for an ENTIRE NATION every single day. I've told my mom many times if Kerry is president I'm moving to Ireland or maybe somewhere in Europe. I don't think I'd wanna live here with a president who says "If we win the war then its worth, if we lose then it wasn't worth it" I'm sorry but that made me mad, thats basically looking all the familys who've lost someone in this war in the eye and saying "your son, daughter, husband, wife, ect. died in vain if we don't win but if we did then I guess their life meant something."

I must say I loved the fact Bush kept bringing up the fact Kerry seems to believe that this war is at the wrong time, place, ect. (sorry I didn't get to watch as much of the debate as I would have liked I had to be at church) but man if Kerry's in i'm pretty sure I'm out.

Melissa, I hear and understand you. IF it was merely a national decision/situation I would possibly even agree with your words. We all, even JK get that these people want us dead. At least those of us who don't follow Islam and follow the Koran, even then depending on what sect you aren't safe. This is a global problem. They want all infidels dead. There are cells everywhere. GB is diluded or at least says he can win this. "He" can't make good on that promise. I actually think he believes it as arrogant as he is though. That's dangerous. In most areas he hasn't a clue about the real world. That's not to say John does. But he does seem to be more realisitic. People talk about his flip flopping. I see it as flexible and a man who is willing to admit he's made a mistake and is trying to do something to change that. George on the other hand, just plows forward. Being inflexible and continually wrong is more dangerous than being flexible and trying something different. George declared the war over on April ninth 2003. Just before them taking me away for my bypass surgery it's the last thing I remembered seeing. The statue of Saddam being pulled down. It made me happy to see that since it could have been the last thing I ever saw. A while later, on the deck of a carrier, wearing a flight suit and looking all powerful he again said it was over and his leadership caused a job to be well done. If that was true, why do we daily hear about more dying? Saddam is in jail. Has that changed anything? Is the war over? Is the world or this country for that matter a safer place? Has the man that truely attacked us and his ban of murderers been caught and stopped? The only major difference I see that has happened is the police state this country has become. I've mentioned that in another post. Any man in power with a frightened and vulnerable country full of people could have pulled that one off. The war is just one issue. There are others that effect us as much on a daily basis. Helthcare, taxes, employment etc.

It is said that a lot can be told about a people by the way they care for their elderly. That alone makes a sad statement about the United States. For various reasons he has put huge amounts of money out there for the rest of the world in their times of need as have many before him. What I am getting to here is, CHARITY, begins at home. When America and her leaders start taking as good care of it's citizens as they do the citizens of the world I and others will get behind that candidate and party. Until then, the best some of us can do is cast a vote for what we see as the lesser of two evils.
