I've started my first two classes toward my next degree. One should be a refresher of a class I've basically taken already and the other is a brand new course. I'm looking forward to getting back into the work. Both kids are settling nicely into college life again, so I can now begin to focus my attention elsewhere.

You jinxed me... I dropped my courses...

On a lighter note, I recently went with a bunch of friends to see a local hero perform at his yearly homecoming concert. His name is Gary Burr (an true unknown to me beforehand) and I basically went because an old friend of mine was playing the drums for his band (long time friends with Gary) Well the concert was awesome CSNY retrospective and we had a blast. This home town boy was the nicest guy, really down to earth, fun and really entertaining. After the show I went on-line to buy a CD and found that he has so many accomplishments he is really a big time singer/songwriter.

He was songwriter of the year 3 times in the country music genre. He has written songs for Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Reba, Diamond Rio, Kelly Clarkson, Clay Aiken and a host of others. He's working with Ringo Starr, has written with Ozzy Osbourne and just finished a "Living Room" tour with Carole King.

I never knew I was in such company. Not to mention that his songs and voice are wonderful. Check him out...

Gary Burr is the first guy (of course) and my friend Gary Henry (the drummer) is the third guy in with the dark shades and beret. This is an older reunion. Gary Burr wrote this song for Juice Newton. (Love's been a little bit hard on me)

I just received the audio book called Crazy Love by Francis Chan. Has anyone read/heard it? I am just beginning Chapter 2 and Chapter 1 was incredible!
