I went to see this yesterday cos I wanted to see it before the Golden Globes came on. It was wonderful!

I am SO happy Jack Nicholson won the award for it. I don't think any other actor could have pulled it off. His character wasn't typical of the movies I'm used to seeing him in. If you get the chance, don't pass it up. You will really enjoy it.

What did you like about it? I've heard it was good

I think I liked the way the writers took real life situations: relationships, loss, love, lonliness, failure and the need to matter in this world and tied them all together in the witty and sometimes hilarious interactions of the characters. I don't want to give anything away, but Jack Nicholson's facial expressions are priceless. Kathy Bates plays a free spirit and she has the only real profanity in the movie. There are a couple exchanges that were surprising, but for the most part I just giggled. There are some sentimental parts as well. Just an all around impressive film. Be sure to go
