Like MIB II, the movie had its great and not-so-great moments. Mike Meyers turns in an excellent performance as 4 of the characters in the movie (AP, Dr. E, Fat Bas^%#d, and a new guy, the evil Goldmember).
As the first 2, he is in his prime, doing an excellent job. Even as FB, it's pretty good, I really don't find his part very amusing tho. Goldmember has a couple of funny lines, but really didn't work. Most people west of Norway will not get most of the jokes I imagine, as they're almost totally based in the broken-english/strong-dutch accent of the character. Moviegoers don't understand what he just said, how can they think it's funny?
Mini-me gets a bigger part this time around and delivers a good performance. Michael Caine seemed a bit lost in his performance as AP's dad, Nigel Powers. Beyoncé's performance as Foxy Cleopatra is a fresh change from the sex-starved acting done by Austin's last sidekick Heather Graham. All the old main characters (Basel, Scott, #2, Frau) returned as well, rounding out a pretty good movie.
Rated "R", I can't recommend it for anyone under 17. The humor can be pretty crude most of the times. It seemed to focus more on toilet humor this time rather than sexual innuendo.
