With Halloween coming up, I wanted to tell you how we celebrate it here in Sweden

Well Steve, we "imported" your Halloween too LOL But it's limited, it's not something everyone does. The Hard Rock Café here has a Halloween evening, if you are dressed up you don't have to pay the entrance fee

Cool ! see, aleina in my faith we view all hallows eve the same way. then we have a feast of saints (or people we believe made it to heaven and are examples in different ways we can identify to to help us strive to get there too, the way they did)
we still dress up, but what we call "a holy day of obligation" immediately follows. that means it is your obligation as a christian of our faith to attend church and pray with all those who have died in mind.

So why do you dress up? Is it just a commercial thingy? If I sound a bit ignorant, it is because the dresses and that stuff is the picture we have over here of how you celebrate Halloween. SO feel free to inform and correct me <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0" alt="" />
