This is just a little prayer I found, in one of my books. It's not all deep like the others I've read here, but it's something that I find myself saying to myself a lot (At least 3 times a week).
~*~*~*~*~*~
When my feelings are hurt by words that are mean,
When my heart wants to break and my head wants to scream,
May I look at the person who is speaking to me
And think beyond what I initially see
To what is really going on between us--
To what is the truth behind all of the fuss.
Because what's important is not who is right
Or what has been said in the midst of the fight,
But instead what I feel and what I can say
To help both of us find a more caring way.
And though I'm a child, let me pray to Above
To turn words used as weapons into words used as love.
