Busy

Your on your way
Your getting there
but on your way,
don’t forget to care
we all know that life’s not fair
and that your busy
It’s just a card
It’s just a present
It’s not much
but, hey, you meant it
but was your heart really in it
while you were busy?
You have your family
You have your friends
You have your programs
You have loose ends.
Who comes first? That just depends
on if your busy.
But it’s your time!
And it’s your life!
tell that to someone
who asks tonight
“Do you think it’d be alright
if we just talked?”.
But there’s plans to make
and books to read
things to do
and things you need
You don’t have time to plant a seed
I guess your busy.
It’s good to plan
and good to strive
and good to self-improve your life.
But is it worth it
when someone dies
‘cause your too busy?
“No, your not bothering me!
Not at all!
In fact, I’m glad you called.
That’s one more thing
I can check off
‘cause man, I’m so busy!”.
“We're still on
for Tuesday, right?
No, it won’t
take all night!
‘Cause I’ve got to got to work at nine.
because I’m busy.”.
“I’ll read my Bible
and say my prayers
and in between
I’ll wash my hair
and then tomorrow I’ll be prepared
‘Cause, it’s going to be busy!?
“How was school?
Hope it was great.
Sorry I didn’t call
I got in too late.
Yea, I know, you’d be amazed
I’m so busy!”
“How was your day?
It was bad?
Oh, I’m sorry;
don’t look so sad!
Well, hope your better, I’ll be right back.
Man, I’m busy!
“Me talk to him?
God, no way!
I wouldn’t know
the first thing to say!
Maybe tomorrow, but not today
because I’m busy...”
But tomorrow
will soon be today
and if their last was yesterday?
How do you deal
with what you didn’t day?
Because you were busy?
“Sacrifice to better ME!”
It’s not the way to go, you see
It’s the others
who are in need
when your too busy
What’s God worth
if you don’t use Him?
Was His blood
so you could scrooge Him?
You know you got it, so choose to give Him!
Instead of being busy.
There’s time for you, and time for me,
there’s time for all of us, you see.
But, we all need to learn to be not so busy.
