I know, in the big picture of all there is, my request is miniscule. But, I'd really appreciate prayer.

About fourteen years ago, my friend Joey adopted me. I called him Joey because he adopted me on February 7. That was my grandfather Joseph's birthday.

My little friend has four legs and probably doesn't know anything about God or Christianity. What he does know about is totally unbiased unconditional love. He knows about bringing joy to his people. He knows how to graciously accept a new four legged being into his home and love them too. He doesn't always smell good. I sometimes call him moose breath. I also sometimes call him gramps because of his limp from arthritis. He's good to go once he gets going though.

Anyhow, tomorrow he needs some surgery and will once again be put under general anesthetic. I'm hoping and praying for the best. I don't even know for sure if this request is acceptable or appropriate here but I'd appreciate prayer for Joey to come home safe. He's family. Thank you.

Well, he's home and mostly fine. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. I swear, it's just like a kid. Go to pick him up and he's all wagley and happy then the vet gives instructions. No food until tomorrow morning, only sips of water after 9:00 this evening. He comes in toungue hanging out, heads right for his water bowl the turns and looks at you,like not funny. Gotta sneak the other ones food outside and feed him so Joey doesn't get tortured. Can't stand it, here Joey, few sips all happy. Wagging to beat the band. Them go out to eat which I don't really like doing much just so he doesn't see eating happening. Yep, just like kids but they never get past two. Thanks again.

Yep, Spinny, he has. I remember now that you are big on animals. The bestest part is, he ain't moose breath anymore. While they had him they cleaned his teeth. He was pretty good yesterday and today he's back to his old self. Thank you and the others for the prayers.

so glad to know he recovered. and with good breathe too. you can find that stuff at petco/petsmart if you want to save moola. the vet had teeth cleaned to avoid bacteria during anesthesia process[when they place tube for air in throat]. smaller the dog, the less gas[for sleep]. i keep my teeth cleaned to prevent bacteria from turning into plaque blocking arteries. scary! PREFER DOGS, BUT LIKE CATS TOO. [;

How's Joey doing Kris?

He's doing pretty good Allen. I guess usual aging stuff like his old man. The moose breath didn't stay away very long.
