I'm not sure that this is the right place to put this, but hey!
We have this Sunday night worship thing for teenagers led by teenagers. Our guitar player had an arguement with our youth leader (who organizes this worship thing) and stormed out of his office. I called her because I have to have the music by Tuesday in order to get the powerpoint done. When I called her she was incredibly rude to me. She's been acting like she is the only guitar player we've got. She was supposed to go talk to the youth guy today, but she never showed up, so we're out of a guitar player for this Sunday. I'm torn because this isn't like this girl to act like this. I want to be her friend, but she's always treated me like a little kid. (I'm 3 yrs younger than her)Our worship leaders are really upset with her, and I'm just trying not to get involved, but I'm really worried about how it's going to go.
I'm also having so frustration with not being able to lead worship. I know that's where God wants me, and I have a passion for it. I was going to lead worship one Sunday morning, but my dad (the pastor) and the music minister thought that wasn't a good idea, and I can't do it on Sunday nights. I'm just waiting for God to open the doors. My youth minister has told me to stick with our worship thing until I get older. That's really frustrating though.

All I can say regarding the girl you are having a conflict with is to be sweet no matter what. You'll attract more flies with honey than with ...um, I can't remember the rest of the expression! What I mean is, you'll get a better response by being sweet than by being sour. As far as leading worship, if your father, the pastor, does not feel that you are ready, then chances are that you may not be...or maybe the church is not ready for you to lead the worship. Sometimes the younger generation tends to be a little more radical than what the older generation can handle. But if worship is your calling, then God will make a way in HIS TIME. Not in yours. Sometimes God will give us a vision and He will give us the gifts to accomplish our goals, but He will leave the doors closed until He believes that you are ready. Possibly His will right now is for you to show that you can be patient and submissive to those who he has placed in authority over you while you are refining your tallent and growing in your walk with Him. I don't know a whole lot about your situation, but just from what I've heard, that's the best advice that I can give. I'll pray for your peace of mind, and that God will show you when He is ready and that doors will open all around you. I'll also say a prayer for the situation with your friends. Don't let the enemy destroy the great thing that you guys have going by causing dissention among the ranks. I've seen churches and youth groups and college and career groups fall apart because of minor disagreements that turned into major resentments. Satan wins when that happens. Don't let it.

Hang in there. You seem a very adult caring young person. God won't let them keep you down. I'll remember you and your cause in my prayers.

Thank you all for the advice. I'm trying not to worry about these situations. I'm kinda torn w/ the situation with the guitar player... she's a really good friend, but she's also been a jerk to me sometimes. I think I'm just going to back off from it until it cools down.

maybe thatsbest. let em cool off first, it may not even be about/against you. its like a domino effect when one person has a mood. others pick up on it and carry to next person. itll work out. God will intervene. theyll approach you when ready. [; prayer is free.

some days cry without offense, just memories flash back of losing my big[only]sister at young age, not able to say goodbye. usually in my sleep or seeing some drama can trigger. she had a faulty heart valve, almost 16. [august before her bday and mine]. I was almost 12 then. I missed out on growing up with her, getting closer as sisters do. then there is survivor;s guilt to boot. sad!
