Christmas is waaaay different for my family this year. We are moving on Friday and so the movers on coming on Monday to start packing things up. So we had our Christmas today. The dinner was smaller than usual and it was just the 4 of us instead of having all our other family with us. Its going to be weird knowing that the day that everyone else is opening up presents and eating Christmas dinner, we will have already done that. Its kind of sad, but we had a good time anyway.

Yeah. Usually it's been me, my parents, my grandmother, my sister and her husband.

This year, my sister and her husband will be with his family, my grandmother is in a nursing home and doesnt know who any of us are. My father's mind and body have deteriorated to the extent that he pretty much just sits there. merry Christmas.

Christmas will be different for me this year because I won't be working Christmas day like I usually do. I have a little extra money, so I can do a little shopping. It'll be mostly quiet since most of my nephews and nieces will be at their mother's homes this year... so that's a little good and a little bad. All of us that are alive are in good health, so we got that going for us... Working wth the patients at the hospital the last few weeks have made me appreciate that so much more this year...

Lex... I know how difficult illness can be. If you look hard enough you will find blessings in your posting. Your brother-in-law's family is rejoicing that they have your sister there this year. Your grandmother might not recognize you but God knows her name. Your father's health might be failing but he is there with you for at least one more Christmas. Make the best you can out of what you have. Don't wait for someone else to be the light. Let Jesus shine through you. You could change the day...
