I know, something happens to ya when you get married. My best friend is single and "happening" back home. I hear about all the cool places to go dance and of course, drink, and how Vegas sounds fun, and belive it or not, I dont want to do anything like that anymore. I guess staying at home is something that sounds appealing cause it cost so bleaming much to buy a home here in california and once you have sunk so much effort into a house, and all that goes with it, you want to get the most use out of it as you can.,besides you are proud of it. Maybe that is why married people always want you to "stop by" instead of going out.

bah... but every weekend? There's cheap/free things to do away from home at least occasionally I understand 'coccooning', but even the snail comes out eventually

Yeah, and ends up being on someone's plate with garlic butter! It's called growing young lady. You notice I didn't say growing up. You wouldn't do it if you didn't enjoy it so don't fret. There'll be a time again when you'll find other or new interests. Ain't nothin wrong with peace and serenity.

some peace and serenity is fine; to much is nerve wracking. I could not stand it if I stayed inside all the time married or not. I like to get out and explore new things and meet new people. I guess I'm free spirted in some ways.

yeah i was too .. (right allen ?) now it is fun to make new cheese dip and sew something. sounds dull now and i miss the loud music and laughs, but when that urge comes, we make our own fun. we rent pay per view fights and watch award shows and one night we rented musicals. we even had our own "club" and danced like noone was watching (we hope not).
allen, maybe if someone invited us to go somewhere we would, just everyone is so tired at the end of the week. plus, we just plain aint got the money !

understandable, for the most part... there's still free/cheap stuff to do - I'll be headed to the softball park after the gym this evening to watch some friends play, it may cost me a gatorade tho

I can't point too many fingers, lately I've spent a lot of time in front of a computer, I just didn't feel like going anywhere, too exhausted from work Things should change in a week or so and I'll be more social

I think Jen's right tho, she did more than her share of going out than most in the last 10 years, she's probably tired

Thanks, but TRUE ! Well, who else can you be really silly and stupid around except for your best friend ? We call it "club John" ... I miss things to do at home. There are many more minstries in Texas than in central California !Be thankful you are single and christian where you are, it would be tough if you were here ... and yeah, we have fun !!

Being single is fun, but being single can get old after a while. Doesn't your friends who are dating someone always tell you to wait and your someone will find you. Well, how long do you have to wait?

In the meantime there's lots of things you can do as a single that's more difficult to do when you have to take someone else's wants/needs. Make yourself available while out and about, don't park at home too much. I waited forever, but it was more than worth it
