My daughter asked for my help. She wanted to build a house with her building blocks. Of course I was happy that she was wanting to try somthing new, and even more thrilled that she wanted my help. We started with the foundation, and I laid it solid with the bigger, heavier blocks at the bottom, and built upward with the lighter blocks at the top, because I know in advance what will happen if you try to stack the heavier ones on the top. Things went smoothly for a while, I would give her a block, she would give it back to me, and I would put it in its propper place. But something happened after a while; she got impatient. She began to keep the blocks that I gave her and put them in place rather than letting me do it. And I could see that she had a good idea of what she was doing. She understood the concept, but she just doesn't have the insight to know where to put the blocks so that the building would remain stable. It made me a little sad, because I knew what was soon to follow--she would try to stack too much on too fast in the wrong places, and her building would fall. I wanted to step in and take the blocks away from her and do it myself, but I know that she has to learn things the hard way sometimes, so I let her go. I tried to warn her. I told her what would happen, but she thought that she knew what she was doing. After all, I wasn't taking the blocks away, so I must be confident in her ability, right? So she continued to stack and stack... Sure enough, she stacked the blocks to a certain point, and the tower fell. She cried, upset with herself because she messed up, and upset with me for not stopping her. I knew that everything would be okay, though, because although the majority of her building fell, the foundation remained.
Soon, she got over her upset, and asked me to help her again. This time, she let me finish...

OOPS! You're right Allen, these boards aren't goof proof! I accidentaly deleted this...so for those of you have allready read it, no, you're not going crazy. I'm just reposting it.
