Hey guys...It's just little ol' me! I just wanted to bring something up that I've noticed every week since I've started going to Stand. The hugs. Genuine, bonifide "Jesus Hugs". You get all kinds of hugs in your lifetime. I've gotten those creepy hugs--you know what I'm talkin' about...the ones that make you wanna run away--I've gotten "oh I have to hug this person" hugs--the ones that you know are just hugging you because it is the proper thing to do. I could go on, but I'm sure you get the picture. But when I get hugs from people at Stand--you know who you are--I feel nothing but the pure unconditional love of Jesus just flowing through you. I just wanted to thank you guys for serving Him even when you feel worn down and tired and spent. You have all really helped me in my walk, and through you guys, the Lord has literally saved my life. I can't tell you how much I appreciate you all. I love you guys sooooo much. And thanks for the "Jesus Hugs"

We really have Jason, Steve, and Jimn to thank for the open displays of "Jesus Affection" found at STAND meetings. I was never much of a "Jesus Hugger" before STAND. But from the first time I walked into a STAND meeting in Sept. '98, they have always made me feel welcome. And yes, "Jesus Hugs" are a big part of it.

I also want to thank Jason for inviting me to STAND standing out in front of World's gym that fall. Most people do not have the male anatomies to do something like that in such a testosterone-filled atmosphere (comes back to part of subversive masculinity ). Come to think of it, it usually takes a woman to take that big a step... maybe it isn't male after all...

Anyways... thanks Jason. And thanks Michelle, STAND is better because you are there...

"Jesus Hugs" are da bomb huh? Well, when you have so much love inside you and you can' go around *smmmoooooooching* everyone, what better way to show that love than HHHUUUUUUGGGGGSSSSS! Miss you girly.

I, too, have been touched by the "Jesus hugs". I see Jesus shining through everyone in STAND!! Here is a good quote:

"To the world you might just be one person, but to one person you might be the world."

Jesus has a plan for everyone and I see him working in each of you!!

I'm so very glad that each of you have felt so loved and accepted at STAND...because you are. I came into STAND in Aug '99 and have never been the same since. There are a lot of people out there who could take this "Jesus hugs" thing the wrong way but I am so excited that each of you has seen it through your open heart and the eyes of Jesus. You are all awesome and I hope that with each new day, you begin to grow deeper and deeper in love with Jesus, "the Lover of your soul".
