People have asked recently "what is oneday"? At a loss for words to fully explain what this event really is, I will give what has been written by others a chance:

It is more than a Conference.
More than another event.
So much more than a festival...although all of these are good.

OneDay is a belief.
A belief that some things will never change.
A firm conviction that we, as a nation, are in a desperate dilemma and
(here's the part that never changes)
the solution is not more stuff, another clever idea, some catchy program,
a new plan or the next passing fad.
The answer is the mercy of God unleashed through fervent prayer.
Hasn't that always been God's way?

"If my people, which are called by my name, will humble themselves and
pray...."
Seems we all know the words.
Sad the words have not become our ways.

So we come to OneDay.
OneDay is not all that special.
It's certainly not a novel concept.
It's simply an affirmation of the ancient call,
gathering those who name themselves the people of the Living God
to seek His face.

Our hope is not in OneDay,
rather our faith is in God.

Kneeling there, hearts together bowed,
faces to the ground, tears meeting the soil,
cries rising to heaven.
Worship and prayer together wed.
Prayers for mercy. Intercession for salvation. Songs of deliverance.
Quiet waiting for an outpouring of the Spirit of God
on us and on this land.
Repentant hearts. Restored souls.

OneDay is about a generation of God-chasers,
God-lovers, broken by His gentle hand,
made bold by His Holy Spirit,
empowered to gladly spread God's fame,
proclaiming His glory at all cost to people everywhere.
And He will come. That is His promise.
