Oh, one more thing.

The "EP Study" that the cardiologist suggested....I don't think will happen. Chris' mother doesn't think its a good idea. And Chris wonders why if only one fourth of his heart functions anyway...why they would won't to put it into an abnormal heartbeat to study it.

I have studied much on this test on the internet. He is a candidate (in my opinion), but, I have assured him that I would support what ever decision he decides upon. I just want him well.

The thought that I have finally found someone (or, rather....he found me!) and the reality that his heart is in such bad shape just kills me. Maybe that is selfish. But, I would like to keep him here for a lifetime.

I believe that God can do ALL things. I do not question what God can do...but I have found myself in a begging mode when I pray.

Thanks for all the prayers that continue to go up concerning this situation.

Wow, I just got back from California a day ago. Please My Lord God (daddy) be with Chris, he needs your love and help right now, and help all his family and friends to come through this with happy thoughts, in Jesus Name I pray Amen.

I saw him today. Seems his back is "sore". But it isn't bruised. He will try to work tonight. I hope his boss is considerate.

Hey Guys!
Just to let you know that since Chris has been facing all these tests...I have been a bundle of nerves. (As if y'all couldn't tell)

But, the doctor's office called with a somewhat vague report today...and spoke to Chris' mom. (He was asleep, as you know, we work nights). She called with the news that she was given.

Apparently, Chris has a rare blood disorder. The good news is that it can be treated with meds.

I am thankful for this report. I know that I know that I KNOW....that God could touch Chris in an instant and he could be healed. But, I have prayed that whatever this was....that it could be treated. I don't believe that miracles are in short supply. God could do it, if He so chose to. But, anyway, for all my nursing friends....I don't have the exact name of this disorder...but I am going to his appointment with him Monday. I will definately know more then.

Hey Guys, I have an update. Chris went for his official diagnosis on his blood platelet problem on Monday.

Apparently, he has what is called...."Essential thrombocythemia (ET)" It is my understanding that there are four things produced in our bone marrow...(red blood cells, white blood cells, fibrous tissue and platelets). There could be problems with any of these...but his problem is in the overproduction of platelets. (ie. if it were overproduction of WBC...it would be leukemia) There is no cure at this time for this "disorder"...as I mentioned before. But, there are medications that can hopefully control it. The meds, however, are chemotherapy drugs. Which made me ask the doc if this was cancer. He said not exactly...but could be a precursor to leukemia. He ran two other tests on Chris' marrow. One suggest that possibility is slim to none. The other isn't back yet.

It isn't hereditary...or genetic. Which means that he didn't "get it from his parents..." and it can't (or shouldn't) be passed on to his children, should he have any.

I hope and pray that this medication is the answer for him.

It has been my prayer for him to be ok.

Well, Chris started the new meds yesterday. Suffered all night last night (at work) with a bad headache (which IS a side effect). Po baby. He opted for bed instead of church this morning. I hope that the headaches subside. It really bites when the side effects seem to outweigh the problems that the drugs are supposed to be treating.
