The OneDay03 gathering will take place over Memorial Day weekend, May 24 – 27, 2003. The main gathering will be held on Monday, May 26, with students arriving on May 24, and additional times of worship taking place on Sunday, May 25, and then concluding Tuesday, May 27.

OneDay03 will take place on a beautiful expanse of privately owned land in Sherman, Texas. Sherman is located near the Texas/Oklahoma border, approximately 65 miles north of the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex and 15 miles south of Oklahoma.

It can't come soon enough actually I was looking at flights and the event is the 24th-27th. I think I'm gonna fly in around the 23rd and get a hotel close by. Then I will stay for the weekend at the site and then stay a bit more and leave on the 30th. Heck, since I'm there, I wanna see at least a little of Texas. And I think I need to find a bridge high enough for Steve.

I am so bummed, I wouldnt trade having my little one for the world, but I really wanted to go to one day or spirit west coast ... cant do it. so, advice to all of you who arent burping a little one ........ GO TO EVERY EVENT YOU CAN ! it rocks and it is most times life-changing, it was for me .... you cant replace what takes place at these things when you are with thousands of others who have the same passions you do ! yall have fun

Cool, there's a good number of people from this area going... some will be coming up on Saturday the 24th and some Sunday the 25th. Not much is going on until Sunday afternoon at 2pm at the site, which means a lotta people will be around their tents playing praise and worship music like last time The big day is Monday, I'm really looking forward to it

I sadly have to concede that I won't be making the event this year... Life has kinda jumped in and changed my plans... ). Luckily we were only a couple miles from a gas station, so we were back on the road shortly.

Made it to the hotel about midnight or so... since I was the lone male so far, the suite was mine and the lady folks had the other room. My friends Steve and Stephanie came in from the rain and stayed at my place. Rain had caused a good portion of the camping people to have to be evacuated to the local high school.

that's my story and I'm stickin to it

TeeHee them folks at MickieD's didn't even know I was in their bathroom..felt like I'd delivered twins from both ends (ya'll really wanted to know that lol)...anyway...what Big Al failed to mention is that his "suite" had pretty blue flowers on the bedside tables and a pretty pink bedspread...he got the pretty girly suite!! Instead we had to settle for the smoking room that they failed to un-smoke with mass deodorizer...but all in all the trip was wonderful...and AL Tu eres numero uno en mi libro even though you wouldn't give up the suite muchas gracias mi amigo...

It just goes with his new pacifist image he is trying to create!

ok, where was I....

Next day (Sunday) we took a while to move, still being exhausted from the night before. The weather was perfect. / About 2pm we finally mozied over to the ranch OneDay was being held on. You can see parts of our 3 hour wait in line Parking ~20,000 cars can take a while. We missed the afternoon education seminars due to the wait, so we wandered around for an hour amid the hundreds of tents in the orange camping group looking for Steve and Stephanie's 'large green and tan tent' - that narrowed it down to ~35 After finding them we hung out for a while then went to the orange stage area for the evening's service. The ranch was beautiful, rolling hills as far as you could see with small lakes dotting the countryside here and there. The nearby hills were covered with tents from the red, blue, yellow, green, and orange camping areas. Each area had their own gathering area with stage in which people like Shane Bernard, David Crowder, and watermark led the worship.

Worship for our group was led by Steve Fee and some girl who sang amazingly well . A bit later Charlie Hall, Louie Giglio, Matt Redmon and others led worship from the main stage while we watched via Jumbotrons.

A great start to a greatly anticipated weekend /

Missed it when Joshua Harris spoke. Anybody get that on CD or something? I really wish I would have heard it. Seems like the person I went with really needed to talk to me alone as Joshua was speaking, and I missed the whole darn thing...

Michelle, just a thought. The person you went with can probably talk to you most anytime they want to. You went to hear others talk. File that away for future reference and don't be afraid to say, "this is what I came for, we'll talk later if you still want to." But, I'm real glad you got to go, dang, guess I gotta move to Texas.

Kris...I know that I should have, but I'm so darn spineless sometimes. And the person I was with was the reason I needed to hear what Joshua had to say. Go figure.

Avoidance and denial maybe, the devil for sure. Not saying that your beau is the devil, but the enemy will use anyone and anything to keep us from hearing the Word. That's his job, to keep as many people out of the Kingdom as possible.

Rebuke the whispers Michelle, you know what's true. And remember all that the bible tells us about unevenly yoked. I know in the real world it's hard to take directions from a dusty old book, but you know and I know, it's God's instructions for living, given to us for our benefit until Jesus returns...

I'm not trying to be condescending, you know that. I love and care about you. Our Heavenly Father wants His BEST for you. Do you believe this is His best?

Unevenly yoked pertains to couples where one person is a Christian and the other is not. I'm not certain if Michelle's significant other has accepted Christ or not, but from her postings, I would think not.

2 Corinthians 6:14
Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?

Relationships/Marriages are difficult enough for people who's faith is centered on Christ. I couldn't imagine facing a crisis with a mate that had no trust or hope in the Divine?

When things are going wrong and you're feeling low, who will encourage you to get your poor pity-partying self out of that bed on Sunday morning and get to church? Who will point you to Jesus who holds all the answers? It is just another burden to weigh you down.
