What :: The Gathering - our local SYATP worship extravaganza! /

Notes :: This is a free concert featuring Among Thorns

While I'm greatful & excited about The Gathering, I wanted to suggest for next year CeCe Winans and Kirk Franklin to attract our African-American brothers and sisters.

My students were jammin away to both CD's today!!

Kirk Frankilin is one of my fav. This sounds like fun, but I don't know if I'll go though.

Our Youth group is having their own "Gathering", but ours meets at the pole on Sept. 18th.

I pray that yall have a great "See you at the pole" on the 18th. The Gathering was commissioned to help schools get more kids around the pole on the 18th by bringing all the schools together the night before to pray and losen the hearts of those who would normally not have gone the next day.

P.s. remember The Gathering is a time not just for Christians to come together, but a tool for Christians to use to invite at least 2 lost friends who would normally not go to a "church setting" event.

Hey if ya would...couldja please send up a prayer or two for my daughter Rachel and her friend Jenna? They are going in to talk with the principal for permission to organize SYATP. Jenna is unsaved and really wants to be involved. This is her second week at youth Group and is very excited.

Just a reminder that The Gathering is one week from tonight! We sure could use some willing and able and yes, even old (smile!) bodies to help with set-up Monday night and Tuesday.
God has opened so many doors this year...thank you Lord!!!
Pray for God's touch that night and next day as we seek to touch a world around us!

We are looking at starting a "Gathering site/link" to the arsenal. I would really like it if anyone you know that was touched be encouraged to post their testimony of the night.

I wanted to thank all of our "angels" who made The Gathering possible this year...without you none of this would have happened !
Thank you to everyone who prayed for lives to be touched, for good weather, to all who helped on set-up and tear down, serving refreshments, handing out fliers, getting the word out, etc..etc.. !
Everyone was always a constant encouragement and blessing, and ya'll truly were "living epistles" of Christ!
We are so BLESSED to be apart of such a wonderful family !
Over 40 kids gave their hearts to Christ that night-to God be all the GLORY!!!!
I'm already looking forward to next year...do I have any volunteers?!

May God abundantly bless, water, and grow the seeds you planted at The Gathering...

Two of my friends rededicated their lives, and one of them is going to start going to one service a week with me...

One of those friends was me, THANK YOU JESUS!!!
