I have been adding new doo-hickies left and right on this board, some make it easier to do cool stuff (like the buttons on the "make a new message page"), some give you more info (like the " who's online " stuff at the bottom of the front page and the " member list " link on most pages that tells you a little more about the people on here) and some I hope make you feel a leetle more special (welcoming the newest member and recognizing the last person who posts). I have a few more doo-hickies coming down the pike that should make this more useful (links to users AOL im's/ Microsoft's IM/ and Yahoo's im's, private messages, etc.).

My dad loves his computer, but any time he spends a great amount of time on one project, he gets a bit cranky!!! They aren't very agreeable sometimes--computers, I mean (or dad's) But you're doing good.

Things are getting more back to normal around here... I will have those profile things ironed out by this weekend. The "equipment configuration" has produced some pretty funny answers.

Just want to congratulate Steve (SLattier) for being the first to obtain "Disciple" status. Everyone knows Steve rocks! Anyone interested in going to his church in May, let me know, we can ride together.

I'm registered and it doesn't automatically recognize me...

I think it is because either:

• you are on a network
• you use more than one pc, so the cookie is always changing
• there may be a problem with the cookies that I haven't fixed yet
• I don't know
• all the above
• some of the above

I may be upgrading the code this week... that may fix one of the above..

As you can C by my username space, I have a problem. Ed registered (ie Mr-thorough) and now he pulls up on the browser instead of moi.
It also changed my password for the
'for your eyes only' so I can not get in.

'For the love of Pete!" - that was one of my thoughts when I found out 20 minutes ago that the cool graphic on this site's front page was a link to the java applet maker's site.
Jason and I had been wondering why our stats were showing so many people leaving after accessing only the front page.
I tried to recode it, but could not get it to function quite the way it should. Anyways, it is now a plain link into the site.
We have some ideas on what to do differently with the front page, but are open to suggestions, if you would like to see something in particular.

I think it's really neat. Honestly. It looks great. I don't know if it's just MY computer (mine is not as great as my dad's or the ones at the cafe) but I can't see a few things anymore like the question marks above my smilie in that last post or the date and time in the "Who's Online" It's just all black. If it's just my comp, then I'll deal with it. I think everything is looking neat-o. (if there is such a word) Thanks for putting so much time and effort into this. It's my favorite web site ever! (and i mean that sincerely!)
PS Just tell me when and what and I'll find somebody who can tell me how and I'll do my best on the scanning thing.
So--if you're paying soooo much attention to my tags, can you tell me what's written on them???

ok...maybe i am as dumb as i seem. just went to whos online and now i can see date and time. i think its time for some new glasses. never mind i dont wear glasses. i think its past my bed time.

Hey Steve... we just missed you last night. We left about that time and went to waffle house for some good-ol' heart-stoppers.

Michelle... I was working on the font colors while you were on and the "time/date" colors were the last to be changed. I am glad you like it, personally, it will take me a little while to get used to it... I may be adjusting colors a little here and there to make things easy to read. What do you guys think about the "white text on black/blue background"? Is it difficult to read? I may soften it to a very light blue or gray...
I think we are planning a fairly major redesign in June (after we rest after getting out the upcoming newsletter and one day ) that should make the whole site flow better as far as color scheme and graphics.

ps... I can show you how to scan... it is pretty simple, just takes time. Thank you again for the offer...

Cool! When did that happen??? Thanks Allen. I really enjoy helping out any way I can. Sometimes I feel kinda helpless 'cause I don't get out often. I want to spend as much time with my daughter as I can since I work so much. So any way I can help from home or work is a blessing to me. I know that sounds kinda cheezy...this is "just a websight" and all...(some people around me say I take it too seriously). But I figure that we need to be encouraged and even witnessed to sometimes. 'k. Here's the deal...one of my regular customers came in and showed me what to do, and it is working good this morning. So now all I gotta do is wait for the computer people to get here so I can ask them if they have a disk. I mean, come on, this is a computer store. I'm sure they have a disk up there somewhere...

I got a disk and one of our techs is gonna walk me through the whole process when I get off work, so everything's taken care of. I'll bring you the disk tonite (if you're gonna be there, that is...)
