*i'm going to All-District this weekend and sitting FIRST chair in the clarinet section TOP band! i have TONS of solos! =)
*i got through one more day of school ..which means, one less day until graduation!!
*I HAVE THE MOST WONDERFUL FRIENDS IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!
*i love blue eyes!
*i have been blessed with being able to give advice to some weakening Christians lately. praise God they seem to be doing better. They're all in His hands now.
*i've been able to go out a lot more recently...my mom's finally letting up a bit more.

*my younger sisters asked me a little bit about God the other day! and church camp!!! i'm feelin' God work in their lives!

* ALL DISTRICT IS THIS WEEKEND!!!!
* I have up to FIVE, see that, FIVE solos for the concert! i hope i don't squeak!
* i asked my mom if i could just randomnly cook some dinner rolls to eat...i ended up eating about 5 of them! lol!
*my tummy feels good...real good. lol
*guard practice wasn't too bad....i don't do any flag work at the beginning of the show...b/c i have a RIFLE solo! mwahahahaha....watch out, here comes sarah!
*i'm finally going to go to an all-district thing since 8th grade...without being attached...or somewhat attached to a guy. HAHA...boys, here i come! j/k ..not ready for it..but i'll enjoy meeting people!
*my mom has seen an improvement in my attitude...i'm very grateful for that...i've been trying really hard. =P
*AND last night for the first time in well...forever! i actually was complimented by our guest dance instructor, who comes a lot for the holiday seasons. 'twas a great night...lol, until i got critiqued for my arm placement. oh well! it was bliss while it lasted.

Man, my weekend has been soooo GREAT!

*All-District started Friday. it was great to have the honor of being first chair!
*us band nerds have a tradition of who we normally stay with, well, a friend decided that she wanted to stay w/a different group of people this time, but my fellow drum major friend stayed w/us instead...she is one of the most hilarious people i've ever met! it was so much fun!
*i LOVED both of the band's directors! they are sooo cool!
*The symphonic band director was Dr. Wakefield, none other than the director of bands from the University of Oklahoma...OU! lol
*Dr. Wakefield was the most patient director i've been under, and he liked me as a student! he was so nice to me!
*Dr. South, none other than the director of bands from SOUTHWESTERN OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY (SWOSU) was the other band director...and I'm prolly going to SWOSU! so, what a great opprotunity for me to meet him!
*i love hanging out with my friends, but for some reason, i really like hanging out with band directors to0...
*so, one time, during a break, i went up to my High School band director..and he happened to be talking to Dr. South. Us three had a short conversation, and Mr. Lewis (HS director) kept bragging about me...which i hate doing...but he did anyway. well, i decided to tell Dr. South that i was auditioning at SWOSU for a scholarship later this month. HE INVITED ME TO PRACTICE WITH HIS WIND ENSEMBLE!!! i was FLATTERED...Praise God! talk about a door opening!
*well, after that, i had so much fun just playing my clarinet. Praise God for my unexplainable passion for music...and my talent on my clarinet!!
*during recreation time, the karaoke machine was going. i actually got up and sang a song with two other people. we sang "JesusFreak" by dcTalk, however by the time we were done, only about 5 people remained in the room...
they either were offended by the song , or they just hated my singing...
*the concert the next day was soooo much fun! i even got to see a friend i've only met once! 'twas great!
*i went to thank Dr. Wakefield afterwords, and he was talking to Dr. South. i came over and Dr. Wakefield began talking about how i "have such a great attitude"...it was flattering...
*then, we were driving home, and my dad announced that i was getting the new Toyata Highlander after i graduated. what fun!!!!
*to make a perfect day even better, we went to Chili's for dinner, and i ordered my fav...a BACON CHEESEBURGER! YUM! gotta love'um!
*later, i drove the Highlander to a friend's house, and a few friends and i watched a movie!

today wasn't as grand as playing my clarinet, but it wasn't bad either.

*i made a 26 on my ACT!! i thought i did worse than when i took it the first time...i raised my composite score by one point!

*something really weird happened today, a friend asked me how i began regrouping from John's and my break up. i told her, "prayer." it offered an AWESOME time to tell her about God's plan for her...and i was tardy to the next class, but i figured, who cares when Jesus is saving souls?
so, now i realize that my experiences can show others that Jesus is still numbero uno in my life...
IT'S AWESOME HOW JESUS WORKS!!!

*i love my life...even though today wasn't the grandest of days, i still learned a lot...

Praise God for all He does. HE IS GREAT! Thank you, Jesus, for you comfort throughout today.

i forgot to add.
*about the witnessing to a friend, it was strange, b/c earlier this week, i felt God telling me to pray for strength to witness in Physics class. i thought He was wanting me to witness to the teacher, and i just realized...it was for my friend in Physics class. i do not know if i have words to speak to show my amazement...
*i drove a friend home from guard practice, and Stacie Orrico was playing in my cd. while driving, she asked me who was singing, and when she left, she asked how to spell her name. teehehe...God works through everything, and music is a great way to bring comfort into somebody's life!
*i was listening to Stacie Orrico on the way home from school. i had a revelation, more like a feeling, that i was to marry somebody in the Christian radio music business stuff...i have no idea if this is a calling, or something. but it's going to take prayer, and i know that it's not going to happen in a LONG time!! lol, i'm just stating it b/c it was so weird.

Today was a GREAT DAY!!!

*I GOT OUT OF SCHOOL!!!! mwahahahahaha....
*I spent the whole day with my dad. he is hilarious, and i love him lots!!!
*I tried out for a music scholarship at SWOSU. Mr. Hull is a hilarious guy! he knows what he's talking about, too!
*I had an opportunity to play with the wind ensemble! 'twas FUN! it was great meeting the people there! it was a BIG difference from playing in a high school band.
*when Dr. South introduced me to the wind ensemble, i got a round of applause...*blushes*
*I ate at ALFREDO'S! Yummy!! and for dinner, Scholotzskey's Deli in the City.
*I saw Mr. Haas!!! he's one of my favorite band directors of all time! what an inspiration and great guy!
*I saw other band camp band directors!! =)
*I was allowed to drive (hehe) to and from Weatherford....MWAHAHAHAHAHA...IN MY brand spankin' new HIGHLANDER!!!
*I actually passed the people on the highway...i was invincible...i was bigger than them...i drove better than they did...haha, j/k! but it felt good being higher than the other cars...=)
*i'm listening to the new Switchfoot song on the radio...'tis a GREAT song!
*i could pick up the new station in Tulsa and hear a brand new dcTalk song...and i thought that i knew everything about them! i never even knew that they had recorded another song!! lol
*I came home statisfied that i spent the whole day doing something that i enjoyed...driving, playing my clarinet, getting away from it all, checking out guys (HAHA, j/k!!! ), talking to friends from BAND CAMP!, and just not worrying about anything. what bliss...
*i've written several poems in the past couple of days...i like having these moments when poems just flow out of my heart...check out my poems if you want at www.poetry.com just go in and type in my name (Divelbiss, Sarah) and my poems should pop up!
*now i'm relaxing, just chillin', and for the first time in weeks, i'll be able to sleep in tomorrow!! lookin' forward to it!

OH!!! I forgot to tell y'all thanks!!! i was excited to find the letter from Baylor!!

here is an email i sent to the girl that will be my roommate if i go to SWOSU. it's about my constant switching of decisions of where i want to go to college:

the weird thing is, about late sunday evening i was thinking about trying out at SWOSU. then, i was thinking, you know maybe SWOSU is where i AM supposed to go, hey, i haven't even heard a response from Baylor yet. i thought that maybe, just maybe if God still wanted me to keep Baylor as an option, he would let me know if i was accepted to Baylor by the end of the week. so, i was about to give up, but i trusted still that God would let me know no matter what. i just had to trust in Him. low and behold, wednesday comes, and i get something from them...but i was disappointed, it was only a letter telling me about a Tulsa visit. so, i just completely forgot about getting an acceptance letter, but i still was trusting in God. the next day, i opened my mail box...and guess what i found (my acceptance letter)! i nearly fell over with excitement! it was AWESOME! i started crying b/c i knew that if i only trusted in God, it would happen...

what an awesome feeling it is to tell this story...i've officially concluded that EVERYTHING is in God's hands...

today was an awesome day!! the only downer was that i was informed by who i thought was going to be my roommate at SWOSU that she found another person to room with. i guess i deserve it after my constant indecision of where i'm going to college. ack!! why can't i know now where i'm going and how i can pay for it?

i've come to the realization that i'm just getting a taste of what life is like. God has a lot in store for me...so, i was thinking the loss of having a certain roommate will now help with not feeling guilt if i actually do go to Baylor. or hey, it'll prepare me for the unexpected....having a bad roommate will be an experience unlike anything else. but who knows?! i may have an awesome one!

well, it's been going well over here. just wanted to express my feelings about today. my mom came into my room thinking i was down (which i'm not!) and brought me half an oreo cookie pie...YUM! i couldn't eat much of it though...after i had just eaten 3 Subway cookies...lol well, now that i'm stuffed and everything. i think i'm going to go now...well, at least from pj. i hope y'all have a wonderful evening! hey, y'all. guess what! just yesterday my family and i were shopping at Wally World, and low and behold, my dad goes and looks at the cds...he comes back with the new Audio Adrenaline cd. without even asking me or my younger sister if we wanted it, he put it in the cart. it got me thinking...and praising the Lord...he has been listening to the Christian station a little bit lately...yea!!!! my dad needs Jesus! he's steppin' a little closer! I went to the Final Round at the Wherehouse last night...guess who won!!!!

SUBSEVEN WON THE WHOLE SHABANG!!!!! were AMAZING! it was a great experience, and the judges had a hard time picking the top band...but it was soo cool to see them all! I'm sooo happy!!!
