This year has brought many new things for my school. We're getting new fine arts centers, science halls, and a new cafeteria! (unfortunately after I graduate, but oh well! lol)
Not only has it brought many new changes for my school, but it has for the WHOLE state of Oklahoma!
Ok, I was in Physics class the first day of school, and the announcements came on. Our principal stated bluntly, "According to the bylaws of [such and such], schools of OK are now required to have a minute of silence everyday to allow the students to reflect upon their life. It's to..blah, blah.."
I was astoinished! We have a REQUIRED moment of silence...YIPEE!!!!!

My physic's teacher was joking about how it was a great time to pray for that physics test of the future!
Unfortunately, I only took the time to reflect on the first day...but I did read an article in the newspaper that evening, and it had a picture of a student praying!!! I was HAPPY!
Required Moment of Silence=A Chance to actually allow students to pray openly in school!!
Now I know I may forget someday, but I know how to use my "moment" wisely....

= One happy Sarah...
