After 2 days of near 100 degree heat and opressive humidity, we have a gorgeous, dry, windy, sunny day. Thank you Jesus!

All my windows are open, the chimes and curtains are blowing and I got a bunch more plants in the ground!

yeah, well it's about 105 here and no wind, which is unusual here. i forced myself to leave the house with the kids and go grovery shopping. what a torture!

oops, this was remember to take out the trash .. okay, so it could be worse. i was pregnant and it was 115 when i lived in central california. so i am glad that i have air conditioning and a big home to roam around in!

Not sure if we're going to baby classes or not, the nurse said it was more for the dad than the mom, and I really don't need 'baby care 101' I need to see what Melanie would like tho.

2. Do not stand close enough after doing numer one that she can bite you....

oh yeah, that's right, i forgot you know everything allen .... i think it was a fun class. you could ask the tacky questions about the birth there. for me, i am glad we did it. because although i REFUSED to read anything on c-sections because i SWORE i was only going to have a natural birth, the little i did know, i learned there. I was glad. c-sections are not the terrible things my mom tried to warn me about. in fact, i think if i had to do it over again, i would opt for one hands down if given the choice ...

okay, sorry ... i love talking about babies, having babies, what babies do .. etc .... such a fun topic for me.

i have to say. i am so tired today, it has been a while since i have been this physically tired, i went to a new friends' house with two kids, two dogs and two cats and let the kids play (and watched them) for two hours, then we came home and watched three very active kids for another three hours and my s.i. joints are on fire and i am beat and cant stand in one place without almost falling over buuuut ....

i feel great. there is truly something SO wonderful about children that i can't put into words, and even a day totally FILLED with them makes me feel more whole inside than anything else i can think of ...

I got a bunch of mods installed on my forum. I upgraded it to the lastest version and I FINALLY fixed the prayer request page, email form.

Today, August 1st our city enacted a 'no smoking' ordinance - no-one can smoke in any public building or within 25 feet of a doorway. For those of us wo can barely breathe clean air this is great news, the magic wall most restaurants think keeps cigarette smoke from flowing from one table to the next did nothing to make eating there bearable.

Those opposed to the ordinance were going to get petitions signed to oppose the ordinance - today they announced plans to drop the petitions There will still be a few businesses who go through the hassle of getting a 'private club' license so patrons can still smoke, but I doubt any restaurants will be among them and we won't have to pass through clouds of smoke to leave/enter other buildings either.

Breakfast and a haircut total 23.49 all done and back home in less than an hour. No appointment necessary, nice tip included and I like it.
