We went to a wedding yesterday that was incredible. God stopped the rain for a few hours to allow the bride to have her day. /

The beginning of the wedding was pretty routine, guests, wedding party, bride and groom...the incredible part came with the reading of their vows and the words the preacher spoke over the couple. It was like a dressed up weep fest. These two young people were so Jesus centered in their relationship it was extraordinary. The vows they wrote established the place God has and would have in their marriage and in their lives. The first thing they did when they were pronounced husband and wife was to share communion together. My heart was so filled with joy it was amazing. I was so thankful. The room was a mixed lot, many denominations and many non-believers. God planted so many seeds it was unbelieveable.

The uniqueness did not end there; they had two teeny flower girls who decided mid service they had had enough and all you could hear was the running and clunking of two pairs of tiny new shoes on a wood floor as they ran back down the aisle. That was music to everyone's ears.

The next surprise came when the ring bearer made "his" entrance. We all kept waiting for some little reluctant boy to come scowling in, but what we found was a very excited, but very well trained siberian huskey named "Einstein" trotting down the aisle to an anticipating bride and groom.

It was just a great day all the way around. /

how cool. i have never been to an "incredible" wedding. before marriage, weddings just made me sad and then they "made" me drunk, now they are part of a rite of passage. maybe i shouldnt think of it that way, but i have conflicting views on the sacrament of marriage. we are still not "married" in the church, so maybe that is it.

that is cool embie that you expereienced that. what a neat thing, to be the one who's union may have touched a ton of people!

I have been fretting over the approaching winter season back here in CT. From the day I made the decision to return it has been with real sadness and reluctance that I did it. But, these past couple have days have been glorious here. Gorgeous weather and brilliant color all around. I had forgotten how beautiful it is here. I have been blessed to have had such travels in my life and have experienced many aspects of nature that God has created. I am thankful for that. /

I finally cut down a huge tree in my backyard I've been talking about cutting down for years now It's right up against the back porch with branches over top the house and I didn't even hit the house

Moving Saturday to my new digs!!!

I got an apartment that is less than a mile from my kids and on a bike trail that winds to their house!!!

Steve forgot to mention that he recently bought a telescope...

We recently moved across the country from Pittsburgh, PA to a little town in Utah called Highland. We bought a house that sits on a full acre and is surrounded by horses. We have a stall on our property that could house 4 horses and a 1/3 acre corral. No horses yet. Along with the property came about 11 apple trees. Golden Delicious, Red Delicious and Jonathan - we also have two productive Peach trees.

Last night we made and canned 21 quarts of applesauce last night from 1 1/2 bushels. Still have about 10 bushels to go - I think we'll switch to apple pie filling after about the 3rd or 4th bushel and then switch to apple cider on bushel number 6.

I love having apple trees.

Well, I've made the decision to join the Navy after High School which will be ending for me in one year. So far I've been clean and loosing weight in preperation. Incidentally I have the slightest inkling that as soon as I made this decision, I got over 10 offers to go out and smoke with people. Despite this, I'm sticking to my plan and going through with it.

that is awesome. joel, i envy you. i would love to live the country life, but with all the conveniences here .. harhar. cool mouse, stay with it.

i have to shout .. they are building a SONIC right down the road from us! we only have a mcdonalds and the next food thingy is more than 5 miles out. yeah! God is good. Sonic is manna from heaven.

A3...I developed a love relationship with Sonic when we lived in Florida and when I finally got back to reality I had "bulked up" on their onion rings and banana splits. How cool is it to get them at the drive thru?

yeah, i know, i only count the days till it opens, then i will HAVE to have lost about 10 or more pounds to accomadate for the stuff i will eat! yikes!

yeah, Joel, I am all over it ! i am ready for the work, give me a pail and a ladder and i'm there. i've got the overalls drying as we speak!

The apples are all picked. But we'd still love to have you.

My wife makes a mean apple pie and I make some pretty amazing homemade ice cream if I do say so myself. Have I mentioned that I gained 40 pounds the first six months I was married.

Well, Joel, my lousy salad just lost it's appeal compared to homemade apple pie and ice cream...

yeah, me too. but it was because i was pregnant. my husband gained about 50 pounds over the first two years of marriage (lost it last year) but he loves my cookin' too.

i'll eat your ice cream, pie and even feed the horses !

I got moved in over the weekend.

Dena came over of supper Saturday night and it looks like the place passed muster lolol
