I just want to give praise and Glory to our Lord for the blessing he has given to me and my family. Last night was parent/Teacher conferences and I went for my son. I cannot tell you how I felt when I left there. Mike has always felt inferior to Rachel. He wasn't quick to pick up on stuff and he wasn't as athletic. He was a soical butterfly and was shy and mainly had just a couple friends. He always felt like second best when she would come home with straight A's. Last night I brought home a report card I thought I would never see from him. All A's. /

He has made good friends that come by and invite him to all kinds of things. He's on the soccer team and thriving. I prayed with his teacher and just cried at how faithful our God is. He sees our need long before we need it and works accordingly. Praise Him! /

Have had a great week with my family

Those of ou that have been around a while have heard me talk of my friend Jim. He was the man who was struggling with drugs and homelessness and he eventually turned his life around. Well, he called me this week to say he would be driving through CT and wanted to stop and see us.

He called tonight to tell me he was here and asked if we could meet for lunch or dinner this weekend. I asked him if he wanted to come to church on Sunday and then go to breakfast. He said sure! /

It's been nearly three years since we have seen each other. I just can't wait!

Please pray for the Holy Spirit to move in a mighty way in Jim's life.

Will keep Jim in my prayers..and ummm embie...excited huh...ummm....

Been trying to be a witness to Jim for years now. It was only when I walked away that God did His thing. Sometimes we're more of a hinderance than a help...Wisdom comes in knowing the difference.

Some great views outside the plane the last couple of weeks. Tonight we saw the Hoover Dam, a meteor crash site and the Grand Canyon. A bit later we saw the lights of Dallas/Fortworth and Waco out the left side of the plane, Austin and San Antonio out the right side of the plane, and Houston out the front (the pilot said he could see Houston ) - really cool, I think. Last week we saw the Rockies, Great Salt Lake, the Sierra's, and the most spectacular sunset over the Rockies - very nice

You sure do get around lately.

Spent the day with Jim yesterday and I couldn't have been happier. I am so proud of him and when we were at church I know that the Holy Spirit was working. When we got home, and thorughout the day, Jim would bring up points that the pastor spoke on and we would discuss them. It was so cool being able to finally have a two sided conversation that actually made sense.

Jim hasn't seen his kids in 7 years. They are nearly adults now, ages 17 and 19. He never married the woman but the children have his last name. Something in yesterday's message spoke to him and he told me he wants to contact them now that he has finally got his life turned around. he wants them to understand how much he really loved them but in his heart he knew he could never give them anything living the life that he was.

Often in our lives we all come broken and struggling, uncertain of the answers. I encouraged him to make that call and then let God take over.

Please pray for Jim. He will be with me tomorrow night and then leaves on Wed morning. Pray for God's direction in dealing with his children's situation, and for continued strength to keep his life on the right track.

Something pretty cool happened tonight, thanks God!!!

Talked to a friend named Charlie at the gym today. I met him 3-4 years ago in stand and he's been struggling ever since with alcohol and drug addiction/dealing. He said that he'll have been clean 1 year in December and has been attending AA meetings 2-3 times daily and working. A very humble spirit, it was great to see him finally kicking the teeth in on that addiction.

Praise God!!!!

Amen to that sista...Our God is a mighty God, He works in mysterious ways...but there is a rhyme and a reason for everything He does...and He does it on His time schedule not ours...

Spent the evening cleaning the kitchen. When I am through (tomorrow night ), it'll be cleaner than it's been in years. yay

I Completed one of those little computer programming projects I've been struggling with for months.

Finally feel like I've gotten the monkey off my back.
