I got my taxes done last night too... completely forgot/ procrastinated til the last minute I always itemize and nearly made a mistake that woulda cost me ~$1,400 - thankfully the review process at the end caught it and I'll be getting a decent refund instead of paying in

Also, I finally started using a financial record-keeping software package today (microsoft money) - I've always wanted to use it, but my bank never supported direct import of activity and it was always to much hassle to do it manually... I imported everything since the first of the year and had it all done in an hour... taxes will be a breeze this next time amd retirement/financial planning will also be much easier

Also, I have two interviews on Friday. Even if I don't get the cut this time, you never know when there's an outward threat.

Both are back in the medical field. One sounds ok, but I don't think the salary is comparable, but the other one is one I was hoping for. It's more an administrative position. We shall see...

Having a good weekend so far. I got another tree branch trimmer from Walmart last night (someone keeps borrowing mine ). I trimmed back a lot of branches in my backyard, as they were beginning to overgrow, killing the grass and my new tree. You can actually walk on the grass back there now and not get poked in the eye by low-hanging branches I was doing it in the dark tho, so I gotta go back and trim the pieces I missed

I finally repaired (via rewriting) the prayer request page at my site! I also fixed a boatload of broken links and I think I have gotten rid of almost all of AOL/Netscapes pirate jave scripts that were disabling a lot of pages.

I was proven wrong last week with my daughter.

Rachel's teacher decided that as a treat for the last week of school that she would show the Harry Potter movie to the classroom. Rachel told her teacher that she didn't want to watch the movie as it wasn't something that she believed in. Instead of sitting through it anyway, she sat outside her classroom and did word searches.

Oh yeah I almost forgot I fixed my car tonight. I have been putting it off forever because it was a big job. I had to replace a couple of wheel studs on the passenger side front tire. As this is a front wheel drive you have to remove the steering knuckle from the strut, tie rod and lower ball joint then press the halfshaft out of the knuckle then you have the pleasure of pressing the hub out of the knuckle. THEN you can actually press the old studs out and the new ons back in!!!! (wooohoooo) then re assemble the whole mess and hope you didn't loose any nuts and bolts roflolol!!

but it's DONE!!!

My kids were so awful today I was ready to send them off packing to live with their dad.

I actually had to spank my 13 and 11 year old and put them in their rooms.

Of course they chose the very moment that I was on the phone talking to a gf that I haven't heard from in months. Because she could hear the commotion when I politely excused myself, when I returned to the phone she asked me to come over there and go swimming. The kids could get away from each other and we could visit.

My answer was

We talked for a while and it was great and then she began talking about some struggles in her life and we really got down to it...

She's coming to church with me on Sunday! /

and the most hilarious part was tonight when I had to call my ex about Mike's bowling night tomorrow night...they both gathered around the phone to see who was going to live with him...
