This is my totally FAVORITE weather ever... 68 and the wind blowing the curtains (if i had any) and leave the windows open all day and smell the sunshine .... thank you God for it all!

there are some half-price tickets to venice, italy available for travel in the next couple months

i think our virtual tour is up now on our house. yeah, so now it is up to prayer and me beign able to keep it clean and we can get outta here and look for some land to build on ! yeah ~!

I thought you just moved there Are you looking for property in a different area?

yeah, we have only been here a little over a year. no, we love frisco, i would stay but since it is so nice, the whole world is moving here, getting kinda crowded. we might look a little east of dallas. somewhere more rural.

Tonight I cleaned out the closet under the stairs - lots of stuff from high school and college:

- A college schedule where one semester I took 3 classes (11 hours) - the tuition? A huge $139.00

- A 1/4 bottle of Skin Bracer from 1981.

- Fireworks from 10+ years ago - I think I'll light them with a looonngg punk.

- An old writing journal I had to keep for senior Government class I complained mostly about too much homework

- Paint from when I painted the house in 1994 - probably not any good anymore.

- 3 bottles of Synthetic oil (5w-50) from 1995-1996 - probably still good

- a couple drivers (1 wood and 5 wood)

- various lights, shades, drape rods, tile, etc from the extreme home makeover of the early-mid 90's

- a volleyball ball, net and poles for some beach volleyball

- a aluminum cot and mattress for all those times I go camping

- a large beach umbrella

- numerous books and homework assignments from highschool and college - in one I got a D for a book report of a book I apparently didn't read and another of a perfect score on another book report for a book I apparently did read

- a clean closet

I am really proud of you Allen, Mel must be the BEST influence ! It being that you are your dad's son .... one might draw the conclusion that you could have been moving toward having a "stuff disorder" .. teehee. for anyone who has seen Al's dad's store, you would agree, this is pretty big of him.

OMGosh Allen, you made me laugh. That's something like the stuff I do...

We've moved so many times that I carry unopened boxes from house to house. I finally did open some of them (hey maybe I plan on staying here... ) I found so many of those throw away cameras that I never developed. There have to be at least 10 of them. I don't know how good the film has held up, but I am having them developed and I can't wait to see when they are from.

there's gonna be a little Mel or Allen sometime early December

Ernesto ("Ernie in American" ) came into the office today on his way to miami, not feeling well, not speaking much english, and wanting to see a doc. We were able to decipher what he was wanting and sent him to a spanish-speaking doc a few blocks away. He came back shortly thanking us over and over again and singling me in particular for mucho thanks. He promised when he got to miami that if I wanted to meet him over there he'd take me to the horse races He called back twice before he left to thank me again for what seemed like a small thing to me - I must have been his only friend in texas He called me his amigo and said at one point "I love you man"

There's a lot more said in the story, but suffice it to say he definitely brightened my day and all I did was listen and point him in the right direction. /

He called again today, twice - he was very happy, 2 miles from Miami and just over joyed with life

Gorgeous weather today... had a great time with some good friends in Galveston

My bro flew up from FL and surprised my parents. We drove down to the Jersey shore where we celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. After dinner my dad asked my mom to "marry him" again. they renewed their wedding vows at noon today.

Thank you Lord that the committment of "for richer and for poorer, in sickness and in health, till death do we part" still means something in the world and that it serves as a standard to uphold for my children who have grown up in a society where marriages breakdown and slip away more often than not.
