Hey I love God's favor! Just picked up a two sided (short) aluminum step ladder slated for the trash compactor. Seems OSHA says that ladders can't be fixed except by the manufacturer or their designee... So 'tis cheaper to buy a new one than to ship the old one off for repair. Stevie says Osha don't govern my house and he sipped two new bolts in it and tossed it in the back of his truck! Presto, free mini-step ladder! Thanks for arrangin' that one God!

Wow seven ounces! I got my computer built this weekend and loaded the new operating system. NO MORE WINDOWS!!! CLICK HERE For those in the know it took me longer to set up my bios than it did to load the new operating system! I also haven't had to download a thing from the 'net. The program recognizes and runs all my "stuff" Oh yeah, and there are no security patches to constantly download (sorry for gloating, I have waited for this a LONG time!!)

Speaking of new positions....
I have know for a while now that a new casino/resort was being built not far from the one that I work at. I have listened, for months now, at my co-workers who have said that they will be applying for the "new" place.
Well, I thought that it would be wise to stay put, and hope to be promoted to atleast "full-time" status, when everyone else left. But, just tonight, I applied online for the new one. I can't explain exactly why. Because, I really do like the company that I work for. I guess my thinking was that I would put my name in and see what they had to offer. What could it hurt? So, I guess this decision could definately use some prayer time.
Steve, congrats on the new set-up.
And way to go Allen on the weightloss. I lost 56 pounds using Advocare. But, seemingly my body is used to the product....as it no longer does anything for me. I believe I will try to jump on the Atkins bandwagon!!!
Also, does anyone out there want to weigh in on distance learning? I am speaking of online classes. I dropped my classes this past Spring because I just didn't see how I could squeeze school into my hectic schedule. But, I MUST get the ball rolling again. Problem seems to be my hectic schedule. So, I have sent off for some information from LSU. And I have also called University of Houston. LSU has something going with UNO. My biggest concern is if prospective employers frown on the fact that you got your learning online or in a tradition classroom setting. I just know that I have got to get the ball rolling again. I am not worried about the discipline of actually logging the time.
Any thoughts on this?
Saphy

Online learning isn't as frowned on as it used to be. My brother in law got his degree from U of phoenix all online and works for Cigna in Dallas. My brother finished several courses for his masters online. It still does depend on the university that you recieve your diploma from and its accredidation but other than that most employers don't even know whether you attended a campus or not.
Prayers for your success sista!
