For the 4th time someone has driven off the highway (interstate 10) and into the front of my dad's business. Last night a 16 year old girl doing >75 miles per hour slammed into the front of the business. Made quite a mess, but walked away without any injuries. /

Sunday January 19th 2003 at 10:30am we will hold our first service in the new building!!!!!!!!!!!! There will be a week of festivities and dedication coming soon. Guests will include musician Ken Holloway and his band, Pastor Don Wells, Pastor Mike Mille'and several others.

Free Trip to Florida????

Hmmm...sounds good, eh? My folks called cos my cousin asked if they would fly my aunt down to Florida so she could spend time with her son (She is 95 ). My parents just got back and my mom is having some procedures done, so they can't do go. I asked all the necessary questions, found out what he was looking for, and I might go.

My mom's gonna call him tonight and we will see if we can travel on a weekend when my kids are at their dad's .

I know it's a sacrifice, but someone has to do it...

I just finished my taxes

No, didn't go. My cousin came back for the funeral and he made plans for his mom to go with him...

I just did my taxes too... I get a refund this year

arrghhh.. worked 14 hours today, the first 11 in ER - busy as usual, a few loose nuts here and there. I then did a couple hours of home IV therapy on a doc who's got some health probs. But, I got off in time to pass by the new Krispy Kreme place just as they were making fresh donuts. 2 glazed donuts not a whole minute old and some coffee and I feel much better

po' baby....and where's my Krispy Kreme donut? Those are simply the best donuts in the whole wide world..umm guess it's a bit too late to make a run out there...I'll dream donuts...

The new pastor really seems to be fitting in well... the service was almost full despite the cold weather and the congregation seemed to love him

Met an interesting patient today... while giving an IV med treatment that's $4,000 a pop (he gets 4 of them this week ) - anyways, a texas history teacher, he was very interesting - cool to hear about the french and spanish explorers to this area

Cool it's always so nice to talk to these elderly patients...wanna hear about my "uncool" patient today...too many to count...note though I was the bedpan emptying full of poop queen today...I hate when folks won't go to the bathroom when they're perfectly capable...I'm your maid to clean your behind at will...pisses me off and then when I say something I get reported and chastised because I should be more caring and compassionate..if you're not able to help yourself that's different but when you won't help yourself because you think I'm "suppose" to cater to your every need..that's a different matter and then I'm called that B word!!though to be quite honest I do earn it at times..but always with good reason <grins>

It's 45 degrees today

Is it Spring yet???

I gotta give thanks for the following:

My baby sleeps from 10:00 p.m. till 2:00 (short feeding and diaper change) then until 6:00 a.m. I am lucky lucky as a mom !

My husband is so thoughtful, all the time, not just some of the time

I had a chance to exercise when the baby "let" me as she played in her swing

I havent been sick since last JUNE ! not a cold or anything !

Everything in my house is working right now (appliances)

The weather is beautiful here

I have great friends that stay in touch both here on this site and back home !
