Watched the fireworks downtown tonight from the top of Hotel Beaumont, you could see the fireworks as they came out of the launching tubes all the way to detonation. And from that height we could see the fireworks from the surrounding towns shooting their fireworks all across the horizon... was really cool

we were coming back in from galveston and saw all the fire worx at the beach ......as we got closer to beaumont we saw the riverfront firework show very cool night

We got to see the spectacular fireworks under the bridge right over the water!! The weather was perfect too!!

I'm up to ~17 lbs lost on this diet so far

Heading out tomorrow for a 2 1/2 week camping trip to Yellowstone NS.

when you sleep at night in Yellowstone, make sure you keep the clothes that you cook in stored up the tree with the food. If you don't you might get a late night bear visit inside your tent.

The sky was gorgeous this evening

did ya see it yesterday...with all the millions of black birds circling over around work...the sun was setting and there was a reddish tint in the clouds...and the full mooon was starting to come out...and the birds were just circling...millions of them in that one area....cool...

Saw dat... there were maybe 40 people in the parking lot looking up. I thought they were waiting on a lunar eclipse or something. There were easily a thousand birds covering the trees, power lines, and swarming through the skies, kinda creepy

Talk about creepy... I was thinking Stephen King when we pulled into Witchita Falls, TX. Cats were everywhere we looked!! We mentioned it to the guy at the hotel where we checked in and he said that the cats had made the evening news!!

Mark and I both jumped out of bed in the middle of the night when we heard this outrageously loud rumbling and shaking. We looked outside at the night sky hoping it was Jesus coming back, but instead we realized it was the Messenger Launch to Mercury.
