Hey guys,
I went to a shane and shane concert this past weekend at Biola University and it was great jumpy . They opened for the Shane's concert but sure took my breath away with their voices and songs. Here's one of them...

Make Me New

My life, Lord, I lay it all down
My desire, Lord to be lifted up
A vessel of honor for you

Holy Spirit, I long for you
To teach me all of your ways
Breathe new life into me right now
And lead me for the rest of my days

Take my heart
Make me new
Lord, I want to be more like you
Burn away
All my sin
And cleanse me from deep within

And make me new
To Your throne, Lord, I humbly come
I lay myself down at Your feet
Just to know You more
Is my heart's beating cry
It's Your face alone that I seek

Teach me Your Ways
And show me Your truth
I want to follow
Solely after You
Jesus.

The words are pretty simple..but to just pray what this songs says is a struggle for me. I'm sometimes so easily discouraged about life...about what I have hope for. This song just reminded me how its not about me...not about my desires...but its all about God....and His work in me.

This past thursday we had praise night at Navigators (my college fellowship). This song came up and I couldn't stop reading and listening to the words being sung jumpy . How true and how little do I believe that all I need is Jesus...and that He is sufficient for me. This song totally reminded me of all the blessings that came my way through the cross. I hope and pray that even when I grow old and grey that my heart will never cease to love the Lord whole heartedly tongue . I pray that the years to come will be filled with His glory and my life to be sustained just by Him alone. I know this will be hard but as the Lord said even with faith as small as a mustard seed I can move the mountains smile .

Sustained hoppy

I'm satisfied by your love so completely
How could I thirst for the praises of man
There's nothing I need that you haven't provided
No one can offer me peace like you can

Jesus your love is enough, sufficient for me
All I have needed you've given for free
Your love is enough, don't need man's applause
I know what I'm worth, I remember the cross

I'm sustained, oh Lord
When your love surrounds me the world goes away
I'm sustained, oh Lord
My heart knows your love like it flows through my veins

Such peace and contentment I've found in your grace
I can't think why I've ever complained
You love me, what more could I want
I'm sustained

I'll need to check them out... if nothing else it's a cool name.

I may have posted this earlier, but it's playing on pj.radio right now and I just gotta post it again smile

Shane Barnard - Revive Me

Hear my prayer
Give Your ear
In Your faithfulness, answer me
In Your righteousness, do not judge
For no one is righteous

Teach me to do Your will, Lord
For You are my God
Your spirit is good, good, good
Lead me on level ground, Lord
For you are my God
Your Spirit is good
It is good

Revive me, revive me
Not for me, but for Your name
In Your mercy, deliver me
From my enemies
Revive me

I remember days of old
Your works I meditate, O Lord
I consider all the works of Your hands
I lift up my hands to You
My soul longs
Like parched land, I’m thirsty

Revive me, revive me
Not for me, but for Your name
In Your mercy, deliver me
From my enemies
Revive me

I think I may have just changed mine.... hoppy

Have you ever thought that you day was just going down the tubes? frown Had that feeling that no matter what happened it would never get any better......and then out of the blue, along comes something that manages to throw you right in the middle of where God wants you. laugh I heard this song today at a prayer luncheon and could hardly wait to tell others. For me.....this was an awesome song and message.

Somebody\'s Praying Me Through

The words are right up under the poem.

I was soo hungry this morning thinking about all the food that I was going to have today tipsy ...then this worship song came up and I thought how much it related to me today on Thanksgiving tongue . Enjoy and HAPPY THANKSGIVING ALL! jumpy

Hungry (Falling On My Knees)

Hungry, I come to you for I know you satisfy
I am empty, but I know Your love does not run dry
And so I wait for You so I wait for You

Chorus
I'm falling on my knees
Offering all of me
Jesus, You're all this heart is living

Broken, I run to You for Your arms are open wide
I am weary, but I know Your touch restores my life
And so I wait for You so I wait for You

hehe, appropriate for thanksgiving tongue

OK, interrupting your regularly scheduled broadcast to bring your fave Christmas songs. My favorite is sung by Nat King Cole:

A Cradle In Bethlehem

Sing sweet and low a lullaby, till angels say Amen.
A mother tonight is rocking a cradle in Bethlehem.
While wisemen follow through the dark, a star that beckons them.
A mother tonight is rocking a cradle in Bethlehem.

A little child shall lead them, the prophets said of old.
And storm and tempest heed them until the bell is tolled.
Sing sweet and low your lullaby, till angels say Amen.
A mother tonight is rocking a cradle in Bethlehem.

Sing sweet and low your lullaby till angels say Amen.
A mother tonight is rocking a cradle in Bethlehem.

choir
Sing sweet and low your lullaby.

A mother tonight is rocking a cradle in Bethlehem.

Got a new CD today....with some of my most very favorites on it....

Here is one:

"My Life Is In Your Hands"

Verse 1
You don't have to worry
And don't you be afraid
Joy comes in the morning
Troubles they don't last always
For there's a friend named Jesus
Who will wipe your tears away
And if your heart is broken
Just lift your hands and say

Chourse:
Oh I know that I can make it
I know that I can stand
No matter what may come my way
My life is in your hands

With Jesus I can take it
With Him I know I can stand
No matter what may come my way
My life is in Your hands

Verse 2
So when your test and trials
They seem to get you down
And all you friends and loved ones are
Nowhere to be found
Remember there's a friend named Jesus
Who will wipe your tears away
And if your heart is broken
Just lift your hands and say
(chourse)

On my new CD....Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir performs it...but it is written by Kirk Franklin.

I soooo wish that I was as smart as Steve and could post this where you could hear it. This has got to be one of the most amazing songs I have ever heard. It speaks to the me that only God sees.

Ok, one more...and then I will go to bed...promise!

"Why We Sing"---Kirk Franklin

Someone asked the question
Why do we sing
When we lift our hands to Jesus
What do we really mean
Someone may be wond'ring
when we sing our song
At times we may be crying
And nothing's even wrong

I sing because I'm happy
I sing because I'm free
His eye is on the sparrow
That's the reason why I sing

Glory hallelujah
You're the reason why I sing
Glory hallelujah
You're the reason why I sing

Glory hallelujah
I give the praises to You
Glory hallelujah
You're the reason why I sing

And when the song is over
We've all said Amen
In your heart just keep on singing
And the song will never end
And if somebody asks you
Was it just a show
Lift your hands and be a witness
And tell the whole world NO

And when we cross that river
To study war no more
We will sing our songs to Jesus
The One Whom we adore

Jesus, lover of my soul
Jesus, I will never let You go
You've taken me from the miry clay
Set my feet upon a rock, and now I know

I love You, I need You
Though my world may fall
I'll never let You go
My Savior, my closest friend
I will worship You until the very end

Ya know...I finally made it back to the church that I attended as a child this morning. (It was a great service!!!)
We sang some of the popular worship and praise songs...but was really glad and surprised when they cracked open the ol' song book for "Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus".

Sang this one tonight in our praise and worship time:

Above all powers, Above all kings
Above all nature and all created things.
Above all wisdom and all the ways of man.
You were there before the world began.

Crucified, laid behind a stone.
You lived to die.
Rejected and alone
Like a rose trampled on the ground.
You took the fall and thought of me.
Above all...

Above all kingdoms, Above all thrones.
Above all wonders the world has ever known.
Above all wealth and the treasure of Earth.
There’s no way to measure what you’re worth.

Crucified, laid behind a stone.
You lived to die.
Rejected and alone
Like a rose trampled on the ground.
You took the fall and thought of me.
Above all...

/

There's a great story behind the song related by the 2 guys who wrote it:
http://www.gospelcom.net/baloche/resources/thoughts5.html

"By the time we got to "You took the fall and thought of me....above all," Lenny and I were in tears. The revelation hit us and broke our hearts. It made us realize how worthy He really is. That He truly deserves our worship."
