But if you ask him today he thinks that getting my wife and her together was a huge mistake. I asked her the other day about her counseling sessions.

Oh, I quit going. It appears that her and her counselor have become somewhat close friends. The type that tells you what you want to hear and not what you need to hear.

Just another stronghold that has to be busted down! (gotta stay on topic here)

TH, you're on your way! Just from your sharing I know you've come far in the past year. You are wise to continue the counseling. Many would stop when they've reached the point you have.

Shame on your ex's counselor on many levels. She's not doing her any favors or even doing her job. I went through several before God led me to the right one. Red flags always went up when I was hearing what I wanted to hear. I wasn't sure what I needed to hear but I knew it wasn't that.

It's important for people to KNOW these professionals work for you. If they aren't getting the job done they need to be fired and a new one hired. As for the lady you met, God Bless her and good for you and the kids. The others from the church, have a real lesson to learn in Christ./ianity
