Okay... someone turned the lights out, and according to reliable sources, that same someone also proved once again that this place ain't idiot proof... Yes, the bossman done up and erased "favorite Bible verses - part uno" - quite by accident, so he says. I tend to believe him since he had a tear welling up when he told me. He says he is very sorry and promises to not touch the "delete topic" button again. Too many hours working on here, I say... get some rest bossman. So, in light of our fresh start here, I would like to share one of my favorites: Seems kinda appropriate... ------------------ pepe'

Yes.. it was me.. I had been requested by someone to remove one their posts and I removed the whole topic, not just their post - apologies to Steve, Alanna, Brie, Michelle and everyone else. One of my favorite scriptures (besides that one about 'whatever your hand does, do it with all your might') is: ------------------ Allen

Here's one that gets me fired back up when the bossman "accidentally" deletes things: "shelter in the time of trouble" - that's what it says... ------------------ Mango - what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul?

Galations 2:20 "For I am crucified w/ Christ, it is no longer I who live but Christ w/in me; the life I now live in the flesh, I live in faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me." or Psalm 17:15 "I will see His face in righteousness, I will be satified when I awake in His image."

Ok, I found these verses in a devotional and they were just really profound to me: " Then he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak I am strong." (2 Cor. 12:9-10 NIV) These verses have always helped me out. and more so now than ever before. ------------------ Amber the almighty coffee maker

My favorite scripture is:
I Timothy 4:12
"Let no despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity."
I think that we all go through a stage where we believe that we are too young to make a difference, too young to impact a school, a city, a state, and of course, we feel that we are too young to impact a nation.
Paul was telling or reassuring Timothy that he was not too young to be the leader, minister, man of God that he was called to be. Timothy desired to be a leader and a minister, but cared too much about what others thought.
My desire is that I will never allow others to destroy the destiny that God has placed on my life. Rather, that I would allow others to enhance my destiny.
Here is a question for you - Are you too young to be serious about God or are you called for such a time as this??????

For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed. But My kindness will not depart fromyou, Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed. Isaiah 54:10 Actually, I had ulterior motives for posting that verse, although it IS one of my favorites... I wanted to remind someone who will remain nameless that I am not the only one who has ever deleted someone else's post. ------------------ Michelle

rrriiigghhhttt... I have always loved this one: 1 Corinthians 9 24 - Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 - Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. 26 - Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. 27 - No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize. I used this one a lot back when I was really into training...

That verse is so well known that I often forget to apply it to my own life. It's one of the first that I use to encourage others, but the last that I take encouragement in... *sigh* When am I going to learn?? I am so glad that I don't have to lean on my own understanding, because I sooooo don't even understand myself sometimes!
