OMG, We had the moving truck Sunday, that was a joke. I still have to hire another truck for tomorrow... I had all the carpets done and the house cleaned yesterday. Right now as I type there are two guys in my kitchen trying to make the countertop fit... The plumber still has to finish, the electrician has to finish and my carpenter has to totally finish...

Ah but tomorrow is another day...more fun to come.

Oh and Allen, I think I told you about a bazillion times that I was moving in with my folks. (and I apologized for always repeating myself... )

We (my parents and I) own a home in St. Pete which serves as their winter home Nov-April, and will be my retirement home if I can ever stop working.

Right now we own a home in CT that is a ranch style house with an apartment attached. I live in the apartment now. They still live in their part of the house.

Smoother is a word and not one I'd use to describe our evacuations from the last two weeks.

Since it's a volunteer program, the girls don't have to have a mentor if they don't want one, but almost every one signed up for the program.

They match us based on common interests, likes and dislikes, etc. Being a state run agency, there are many do's and don't's that we have to respect. I

'm excited to get to meet my new friend. Due to my latest escapade, it won't be until the end of next week now.

We had our first "outing" last night. We had such fun!
She is 17, sweet, and struggling. Please pray for her. Her rough, tough exterior comes as a result of many many painful experiences and too many broken promises. She is so fragile but tries to act very strong and unaffected. I got there a little early and right up until the time I arrived she was convinced I wouldn't come.

Sounds a bit like her mentor... you guys were made for each other - don't forget to use your life experiences as examples to her.
